What a nightmare it turned out to be from Pulwama to Pahalgam! The Kashmir that seemed to be returning to peace n normalcy was just a misconception. Terrorism is the biggest enemy of humanity.
After this incident, for the first time, the Kashmiri people have come out on the streets in anger to protest against this gruesome, inhuman and cowardly attack. This cowardly attack on innocent people is being strongly condemned from the mosques as well.
It should be noted that the country has suffered the dangerous bite of terrorism in Punjab and later in Kashmir since the beginning of the 1980s.
The huge price the country has had to pay is all in front of us. But it must be noted with a calm mind that behind every incident, the enemies of the country have only one purpose – to create terror, create an atmosphere of fear and disturb social harmony n fabric due to which people of one religion in the country hate people of other religions even more this fulfilling their purpose and the unity of India is threatened. This is the cunning trick behind every terrorist thinking. This leads to increase in the media responsibility to play their vital role towards the society.
The terrorists know that every tourist has a mobile and they will get free publicity. The foolish anchors of many TV media studios were linking this whole matter to religion. Just think about the criminal terrorists who were shooting the innocent tourists after asking the religion.
Can that irreligious and hired terrorist have any religion? He took the money and got the reward. His tender was completed. Who will question those who are running the country’s system?
The question is why there was not even a single security personnel or gunman in that open field even though it is a busy tourist spot and crowded with tourists in this season where people’s security is mandatory, especially in a terrorist infested districts like Anantnag and therefore Pahalgam. If even one of the terrorists had been killed on the spot, clues would have definitely been found.
This area of Pahalgam falls in South Kashmir. It is so far from the India-Pakistan border that it is not easy to come in and run away across the LOC in one go. Doda, Kishtwar and Banihal are the only routes to reach Pahalgam from Poonch and Rajouri.
This simply means that the terrorists were working on the Pahalgam project for a long time. They were waiting for the tourists from India and abroad to arrive in the summer. They must have definitely made full arrangements for ration, water and porters.This unambiguously mean that their is a total intelligence failure at various levels from police to military who couldn’t sense or find the secret information in this regard.
But in our ignorance, the terrorists sensed a weak spot that there was no security at the scene that would make anyone question their military uniform. How did the terrorists get automatic weapons, is a moot question?
Anyway, this is the time to exercise restraint and keep the country united. But those who have countless claims of completely eradicating terrorism will have to answer questions about security and intelligence lapses and negligence at any cost.
The citizens of the country will have to ask questions until answers are found and accountability is fixed for the horrific and painful attacks of the last six years from Pulwama to Pahalgam!
