A fascinating poster of Uttarakhand Idol was launched at Mayur Vihar the other day by the newly elected lawmaker of Patpadganj Ravindra Singh Negi in the presence of the other guests namely Prem Singh and Rajendra Bhatt, the producers of PR Films production whose recent Garhwali movie was a blockbuster. The event was organised by the Directors of the Uttarakhand Idol to be commenced in the near future by Chandan Singh and Brijesh Bhandari, Directors. The event was attended by people from different fields from art to journalism to theatre and regional films of Uttarakhand. Among those present on this ocassion other than the chief guest and special guests were Satyendra Farendia , prominent singer of Uttarakhand whose song “Satpuli Ka Saina”, was visualised in the first ever Garhwali film “Jagwal” released in 1984, Hari Singh Rawat, editor Publisher Ridhi Darpan, Mr. Chouhan of Pahadi Gharat, Brijesh Bhandari, Chandan Singh, Deep Silodi of Anchal Patrika, prominent Uttarakhand singer Usha Pandey and others. The basic and prime objective of starting he Uttarakhand idol is to accord opportunities to Uttarakhand’s talented budding singers who usually despite their melodious voice and good practice do not get appropriate forum to exhibit their singing talent. The eminent singer from Uttarakhand background extremely popular in Bollywood like Sunidhi Chouhan, Jubin Nautiyal, etc are exceptions whereas from Champawat Pawandeep has shown his outstanding talent to be the topper in the reality singing show at the pan India level namely INDIAN IDOL bringing name and fame for the state of Uttarakhand.
