MPs of INDIA protest in handcuffs in Parliament against sending Indian nationals in US back to India via military plane in handcuffs !

The members of parliament hailing from various political parties and constituents of Indian National Inclusive Developmental Alliance under the leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul , Priyanka Gandhi and Akhikesh Yadav today protested in the parliament House precincts wearing handcuffs, symbolic of their protest against hundreds of Indian migrants being handcuffed by the Trump administration and literally thrown from US to India for their illegal stay there being deported in a US military plane giving no opportunity to be heard and seek justice.

The opposition anti BJP I.N.D.I.A MPs were holding placards in their hands mentioning ” Will not tolerate Indians being handcuffed in US “, United INDIA against inhumanity etc.

Those who participated in this protest demonstration were LOP Rahul Gandhi, Congress chief and Rajya Sabha MP and leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Samajwadi Party leader in LS n former UP CM Akhikesh Yadav, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, K.C.Venugopal, Bhupendra Singh Hooda, MP holding play card which read ” Humans are not Prisoners”, MPs from Punjab, Southern states, UP, Bihar, Maharashtra ,Chattisgarh and Jharkhand etc.

As soon as the parliament session resumed today the entire opposition MPs stood up and vociferously demanded a discussion on the handcuffing and deportation of 104 Indians living in US pressuring the external affairs minister to give statement on this pivotal issue as to what action had the government taken to resolve it.

The Congress leader and member of parliament K C.Venuugopal raised the issue threadbare and and protested creating an acrimonious scene by wearing handcuffs to symbolically raise the alleged inhuman attitude of the US government handcuffing 104 Indian nationals and inhumanly deporting them back on military plane to India.

The opposition MPs soon assembled in the well of the house and raised slogans denouncing the Government with speaker OM Birla directing the protesting opposition not to carry on the planned disruptions in the house.

Before this the Congress MP amd leader KC Venugopal moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha to discuss the issue urging the Centre to outline the diplomatic steps being taken to engage with the US administration.

While this disruption was going in in the Lok Sabha , in Rajya Sabha too there were uproarious scenes created by Congress, CPI, TMC, AAP and CPM with Shashi Tharoor of Congress saying that the Trump administration’s move to deport the Indian nationals in handcuffs was an unambiguous insult to the nation. It may be recalled that on Wednesday 104 Indian citizens living illegally in US have been brought to military plane by US police in chains in the hands and legs and deported to India with many more to be deported in the near future.

Meanwhile speaking in the parliament responding to the opposition’s demand to make a statement – the external affairs minister said that the illegal immigrants were deported as per rules under the US deportation act. He said that the Indian government will never tolerate the illegal immigration business and will patiently hear to the grievances of the deportees and deeply look into their difficulties to nab the culprits who have been minting lot of illegal money out of this illegal act . We will punish them stringently so that such incidents don’t recuur in the near future.

The general secretary of Congress and MP from Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi said the way these Indians were chained as if they were hardened criminals and deported warrants a complete statement from the prime minister. He used to boast that he is a good friend of Donald Trump, the US president now what happened to that friendship ? Why didn’t Modiji send his own place to bring the Indian back. Why did he give opportunity to the US to shamefully chain our citizens ? He should answer in the parliament said Priyanka Gandhi.

The Shiv Sena MP Ms Chaturvedi strongly condemned the way these Indians were treated as terrorists and hardened criminals by the US government. She said this is an utterly shameful act for which they need to be reprimanded.

The Congress leader, MP from Trivandrum, Kerala Shashi Tharoor said there are 7 lakhs twenty five thousands Indians living illegally in India then why only 104 deported. This is unjustifiable said Tharoor.
