Veteran Journalist, Poet Pradeep Sardana gets ‘Akashvani Samman’, will recite poetry on All India Radio on Republic Day
New Delhi, 23 January 2025, Veteran Journalist, poet and well-known film and art critic Shri Pradeep Sardana will recite poetry in Akashvani’s largest and prestigious Kavi Sammelan to be broadcast on the eve of Republic Day. On this special occasion, All India Radio also honored Shri Pradeep Sardana with ‘Akashvani Samman’ for his achievements in the world field of poetry. This honor was given to Shri Sardana by Shri Ramavatar Bairwa and Ms. Manisha Jain, Assistant Director of Akashvani Delhi.
Active in the field of writing, journalism and poetry for the last 50 years, Shri Pradeep Sardana is famous as a film critic. He also has a special contribution in the poetry and literary world. Shri Sardana’s poems and stories have been published in various magazines and newspapers for years and have also been published in many prestigious literary annuals.
One of his stories was even filmed in Doordarshan’s famous serial ‘Jharokha’ based on selected stories from around the world. It also included stories of the world’s great story writers such as Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain, Anton Chekov, Jaishankar Prasad, Guy De Maupassant, Katherine Mansfield & Jeffrey Archer.
This Annual National Symposium of Poets of Akashvani will be broadcast on 25 January at 10 pm on the entire network of Akashvani, Indraprastha Channel and FM Gold as well as AIR Live News.
Other poets participating in this Kavi Sammelan include Dhananjay Singh, Shiv Narayan, Arun Shekhar, Lalitya Lalit, Pramod Pandey, Praveen Arya, Dilip Mehra, Mamta Manish Sinha, Rashmi Kukreti, Navodita Mishra, Alok Ranjan Pandey, Yuvraj Bhattarai, Kalpana Shukla, Satish Vimal and Rajiv Barua.
