Suresh Nautiyal addresses the Mexican Parliament. Says : need to convert the Green Movement into a Global Political Movement.
The founder of the Green Party in India , a senior journalist and activist Suresh Nautiyal is in Mexico these days having been invited on the ocassion of the felicitation of the Mexico President Dr.Claudia in his capacity of one of the leading senior most green activist for the last several decades.
Nautiyal represented entire Asia and was accorded an opportunity to speak in a session at Lower House of Mexican Parliament which indeed is a huge achievement. While expressing his gratitude for giving him the opportunity to speak on this pivotal ocassion in Mexican Parliament Nautiyal said “Green Politics is the need of the hour to stop climate change, protect environmental, conserve ecology, and contribute towards the sustainable life.”
Expressing his happiness to be in Mexico and thanking the Ecological Party of Mexico and the Federation of the Green Parties of Americas (FPVA), Nautiyal said , the occasion to award the Mexican President, Dr Claudia, who is also an eminent environmentalist, brought all of us here, Mexico City. The occasion, for sure, will give an opportunity to bring the Green leaders and Green Ideology closer.
He emphatically pointed out that the Ecological Party of Mexico and the FPVA would give a positive push to the Green Movement. Asserting the pivotal need for for environmental protection worldwide Nautiyal emphasised that “Now, all the Green parties and all the Greens in the world, need to convert the Green Movement into a Global Political Movement. And, we can achieve this and the Green values and principles only if we unitedly made out best efforts.”
“Green Politics is the need of the hour to stop climate change, protect environmental, conserve ecology, and contribute towards the sustainable life.” said Suresh Nautiyal.
Lauding the Green movement spreading its influence globally he said : “The Sun of Green Politics is bright now, and we are sure that it will shine for and in the whole world.”
“During last 50 years of my political life, I explored and experimented with different political ideologies, but the journey never culminated, never got over. Now, I do not have to explore further as I have reached the political space where I always wanted to be. I have already arrived in my political destination that is the Green Politics. I am here, will remain here only to do justice with myself, all life-forms on the Earth with my political contribution.” Said Suresh Nautiyal.
He expressed his hopes that “For sure, I believe that the democracies will progress and flourish only in sovereignty, and Green Politics is the window for it. Thank you.”
