Rajya Sabha adjourned till Monday at 11.00 AM today due to acrimonious scenes on motion of no confidence against the chairman Jagdeep Dhankar

In Rajya Sabha there had been uproarious scenes with the Upper House chairman Jagdeep Dhankar adjourning the house till Monday. The issue was of non confidence motion against him which led to quite an acrimony with the members of the ruling party BJP and opposition Congress charging each other shouting in full volume trying to downgrade each other. The chairman of Rajya Sabha Jagdeep Dhankar while responding to the Congress MPs acrimony said that you Congressmen had only one work and it is to create disturbance in the smooth functioning of the house. The Congress and INDIA MPs have brought a no confidence motion against him in the upper house. He said you ( Congress MPs) are jealous of a Kisan Beta sitting in the chair of the chairmanship of Rajya Sabha but I will never bow down but shall sacrifice my life for the nation. It a started in the upper house in the morning when the vociferous BJP member of Parliament Radha Mohan Aggarwal raised strong objections and condemned the Congress for bringing the no confidence motion against the chairman of Rajya Sabha Jagdeep Dhankar saying that this notice is against the rules. He pointed out that giving fourteen days notice before bring a no confidence motion is necessary as per norms. The BJP MP strongly criticized the first Indian prime minister for maltreating the first president Rajendra Prasad adding that he wasn’t given adequate treatment and medicines not Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan allowed to meet him. Radha Mohan Aggarwal BJP MP said that when notice of no confidence was given the Congress should have waited. He also came down heavily on the Congress MP and chief Mallikarjun Kharge and accused him of charging the chairman after going out of the house in public which is against the norms n parliamentary ethics. On this the entire opposition raised slogans against the chairman and the BJP creating quote an acrimonious atmosphere. The Congress leader n MP Pramod Tiwari came in favour of Mallikarjun Kharge and tried to speak in his favour coming down heavily in Radha Mohan Agrawal, the vociferous BJP MP. When the situation went out of control at 11.00 AM the chairman of Rajya Sabha adjourned the house for Monday. In the morning the proceeding of the Lok Sabha started by laying floral tributes to those who are martyred on 13 December in Parliament attack by Pak sponsored terrorists. The discussion also commenced in the Lok Sabha on the ocassion of our constitution completing 75 th years after coming into existence formally. The union defence minister started the discussion speaking on the most revered journey of our constitution during the last 75 years after formally coming into existence. Both BJP and Congress had issued three lines whip to their respective members to be positively present in the Lok Sabha on 13 th and 14 th December..
