Ukhand CM Dhami inaugurates Smriti DWAR of Inter college in the name of martyr Dev Bahadur at Gorikala Kichcha,

Since the day, 45 year old 10 th chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami was elected the chief minister of Uttarakhand, the third in 3.5 months, replacing his predecessor Tirath Singh Rawat, he has been mobile and busy mixing with the electorates in both Garhwal and Kumaon region, making populist announcements and visiting calamity affected areas in Uttarkashi including holding several meetings with top bureaucrats, n district magistrates directing them to come to the rescue of calamity victims and expediting relief and rehabilitation support. He also announced a package of Rs 200 crores to compensate 170 lakh people associated with tourism sector n char Dham Yatras, adversely hit by the ongoing Covid pandemic.

After becoming the chief minister of Uttarakhand, this is for the first time that he visited his home district Udham Singh Nagar where he was given a tumultuous welcome by people collected in large numbers including the party workers. The chief minister waved to the crowd while responding to the jubilant crowds. FIRECRACKERS were the also the main attraction welcoming the CM for his first visit after assuming the charge as CM. The jubilant CM thereafter visited the collectorate and did number of inauguration speech, as every CM does.

Today the chief minister participated in a cycle rally driving a bicycle himself in Pant Nagar University campus in order to send across a message of mobilisation of sports encouraging it and boost the sporting spirits n morale of the participants in Tokyo Olympics representing India.

He also congratulated the first Olympics silver medal winner in Tokyo Olympics for raising our country’s flag high and saying that entire nation is proud of her. In a tweet, Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami tweeted : Many many congratulations to Mirabai Chanu, for winning a silver medal for the country in 49 kg category weight lifting in Tokyo Olympics. The entire country is proud of you tweeted the chief minister.

Prior to this, the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in order to pay his respectful heartfelt tributes to a Daredevil who sacrificed his precious life in the service of the nation in a young age, inaugurated the naming of regional inter college in the name of martyr Dev Bahadur at Gauri Kala Kichcha, in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. In a tweet, the chief minister wrote : Today, inaugurated a “SMRITI DWAR” known as Shahid Dev Bahadur Smriti DWAR in the name of the martyred daredevil soldier who sacrificed his live at a young age. In order to remember his brave patriotic deeds the college has been named after him. My heartfelt tributes n “Obiesance” to this brave martyr who sacrificed his life for protecting our country tweeted the chief minister. He later on took the round of his legislative Assembly n met electorates at Sitarganj n Nanakmatta to extend his gratitude.
