The Congress general secretary and the parliamentary candidate from Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi met the Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and congratulated him on completion of two years of his presidentship. The Congress general secretary went to Kharge’s residence and personally congratulated him on his completion of two years of his presidentship of Indian National Congress. After meeting and congratulating the Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge at his residence Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra posted her picture with Mallikarjun Kharge interacting with him writing in her social media handle X : Today marks two years since respected Shri@kharge ji became the President of the Indian National Congress. Shri Kharge ji has given strong leadership to the party with tireless hard work, experienced foresight and unmatched tenacity. A strong voice for social justice, rights of the underprivileged and democracy, Shri Kharge ji started from student politics and today is the National President of Congress. His decades-long and meaningful political life is an inspiration for every Congress worker said Priyanka Gandhi.
Similarly , the Congress leader and leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi also met the Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and congratulated him on his completion of two years of presidentship by hugging him and wishing him all the very best in his future endeavours.
After congratulating Mallikarjun Kharge Rahul Gandhi wrote on X : Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji on completing two years as Congress President! Meanwhile Priyanka Gandhi who was in Wayanad the other day, extensively campaigning on the day of filing her nomination papers addressed and participated in a big road show where thousands of electorates accompanied her and assured of their total support. Priyanka Gandhi who was overwhelmed by the infinite support and adoration accorded to her wrote a letter to the electorates of Wayanad.
In the full page letter Wayanad Congress candidate Priyanka Gandhi said, a few months ago I travelled to Chooramala and Mundakkai with my brother. I saw the devastation wrought by the landslide and the depth of the loss you suffered. I have met children who have lost everyone they loved , mothers who were grieving for their children and families whose entire lives have been washed away by the rage of nature. Yet through the darkness of tragedy that befell you, what shine through to me was your immense courage and fortitude as a community.You rallied together with a strength, I have not seen before. Narrating the incident as to what prompted her to accept the candidature from Wayanad to serve them honestly and with immense dedication Priyanka Gandhi wrote :
I was returning home and I felt that it would be an honour to represent you (Wayanad) in Parliament. It would be an honour to learn from you , to understand your lives and the challenges you confront and to become the part of your courageous community that knows how to respect each other and to stand tall even in the most trying times.
Priyanka mentions about her brother Rahul Gandhi and writes : You have accorded my brother your live and I know he reciprocates it fully. When he asked me to be the Congress candidate from here ( Wayanad) , he did it with a mixture of pride and sadness in his heart. While agreeing to his call I promised him that my work here will serve to deepen this bind and that I will do all I can to fight glfir you and represent you in the way that you wish to be represented in Parliament.
