Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav urges Nitish to withdraw support, K.C. Tyagi contradicts strongly

The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi party leader Akhilesh Yadav urged the JD U leader and the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to withdraw support from the Modi government being strongly contradicted by another JD U) senior leader, former Rajya Sabha Member of parliament and spokesman K C.Tyagi.

Today is the 122 nd Birth anniversary of the prominent leader and legendary figure , the leader of absolute revolution who dethroned the then prime minister Indira Gandhi from power opposing the draconian emergency during 1975 to 1977 Jai Prakash Narayan.

The former UP CM and Samajwadi party leader Akhilesh Yadav went to JP’s memorial to pay his respects but the Uttar Pradesh Police didn’t allow him to enter the memorial which enraged him badly as during emergency from 1975 to 1977 Akhilesh Yadav’s father Mulayam Singh Yadav and numerous tall and common opposition leaders of all the political parties including Nitish Kumar were jailed.

After returning back to his residence in Lucknow Akhilesh Yadav addressed his party workers in annoyance saying that the chief minister of Bihar and senior JD(U) Nitish Kumar who was himself an ardent supporter and Leutienant of Jai Prakash Narayan should withdraw their support from the BJP led NDA government.

He catagorically said that the BJP whom you ( Nitish Kumar ) have extended support are deadly against the iconic leaders like Jai Prakash Narayan who happed to be your sole socio political mentor and source of inspiration, therefore withdraw support from them urged Akhilesh Yadav to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. He said that this is the right time that he should withdraw support from BJP who are insulting your iconic leader Jai Prakash Narayan with whom you participated in movement of total revolution and started your political journey with his blessings said Akhilesh Yadav.

This remark from former UP CM and SP leader Akhilesh Yadav came after he was not allowed to visit the JP memorial in Lucknow when he went at the memorial to pay his tributes on the legendary leader’s 122nd birth anniversary.

Hearing Akhilesh’s remark as reported by ABP news the senior Janata Dal ( U) leader and spokesman K.C.Tyagi retaliated saying that Akhilesh Yadav’s statement was inappropriate as during the draconian emergency imposed by Congress and its then PM Indira Gandhi on June 25, 1975 his own father Mulayam Singh Yadav and others were jailed for 19 months for opposing it.

While retorting to his statement K.C.Tyagi reminded Akhilesh Yadav that during emergency the Congress leader and PM Indira Gandhi had imprisoned your father and Nitish Kumar. Therefore instead of asking Nitish ji to withdraw support Akhilesh should disassociate himself from Congress which has curtailed everyone’s freedom during emergency period of 1975 to 1977 and jailed every single leader of opposition said senior JD ( U) leader K.C.Tyagi.

It may be recalled that Akhilesh Yadav’s party Samajwadi Party is an important part of the INDIA bloc and the Congress and SP had contested the national elections in UP together with SP winning 37 and Congress 6 seats.
