TWO YOUNG BOYS AGED 20 AND 18 YEARS DIE WHILE TAKING BATH AT GAINTHICHODA WATERFALL/ LAKE IN KOT BLOCK , PAURI GARHWAL

Yesterday, two youths aged twenty and 18 years of Kharait village have died after being swept away in Gaintichoda waterfall/ lake in Kot block Sithonsiun Patti , under Pauri Garhwal district.

After the information was passed to the local police and the SDRF, the team reached the tragedy spot and retrieved the two dead bodies after two days of extensive search sending shock waves all around.

According to the news reports, the two youths namely Ravindra Singh son of Virendra Prasad and Priyanshu son of Madan Singh of Kharait village of Sithonsiun Patti of Pauri Garhwal, Kot block aged twenty and eighteen years respectively went to the Gainthichowda waterfall/ lake for taking bath.

While enjoying the bath both the boys were swept away in the rivulet by the forceful tides of the excessive rain water and died due to asphyxiation not able to come out safely.

The locals after learning about this tragedy informed the police who informed the SDRF reaching the spot hurriedly. They found the clothes, mobile phones and shoes outside the lake.

The incident occured yesterday and the SDRF tried their best to search the dead bodies but could locate only one dead body. The SDRF located the body of another boy today. Both the dead bodies have been handed over to police for postmortem and other legal formalities. The bereaved families are is trauma and shock waves spreading in the entire district.
