The story of real bravery and indomitable spirit of Major Digvijay Singh Rawat who was yesterday decorated with prestigious Kirti Chakra by the President of India Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan at a glittering function in the presence of the VVIPs was indeed a memorable ocassion. The entire nation n Uttarakhand is proud of such icons of bravery and exemplary courage.
Such stalwarts of Indian Army through their extreme bravery, intelligence, discipline and versatility not only inspire the budding bravehearts to join Indian Army to protect its 150 crores population but also rid our peaceful country of extremists, trouble mongers and anti nationals including relentlessly fighting the enemy at our borders 24 X7.

The prestigious Kirti Chakra recipient at the hands of president Draupadi Murmu is an icon worth praising and remembering all the times Major Digvijay Singh Rawat – who not only by virtue of his grit, determination, intelligence and alertness got the sense of a Manipur VIP likely to become a victim of the dreaded militants but protected him n others by not only killing one and grievously injuring, but failing n thwarting the entire operation of the extremists. In Manipur , Major Digvijay Singh of 21 Batallion( The Parachute Regiment Special Forces) established an intelligence network enabling himself to map all the valley based dreaded insurgent groups ( VBIG’s ) with immense dexterity n accuracy. In one of the operations he physically confronted and fought with extremists nabbing three of them and indeed exceptional bravery feat.
According to the feedback – in the highly challenging terrains of the insurgency inflicted Manipur where heroes take birth due their extreme courage and the waranting trivial n challenging situations Major Digvijay Singh Rawat of 21 PARA SPECIAL FORCES is a fitting example of one such outstandingly brave soldier who not only thwarted a potential threat to a VIP and Manipur’s another possible extremist action, but also exhibited an exemplary courage n bravery by killing a hardened extremist, injuring another and in a second incident thwarting an extremists attempt by arresting three dreaded militants n making others run away.
The President of India while presenting the Kirti Chakra to Major Digvijay Singh Rawat felt proud and the VIPs sitting at the ceremony were wishing him all the very best in his future endeavours.

ANOTHER KIRTI CHAKRA POSTHUMOUSLY PRESENTED TO THE WIDOWED WIFE OF AN OUTSTANDINGLY BRAVE CAPTAIN ANSHUMAN WHO GAVE HIS PRECIOUS LIFE TO SAVE SEVERAL SOLDIERS INSIDE A BURNING BUNKER BRINGING THEM OUT SAFELY
A sudden fire broke out in a bunker at Siachen Glacier on 19 July 2023.
Captain Dr. Anshuman Singh entered the burning bunker to save the soldiers and pulled out some soldiers safely. But he himself got stuck there.
Kirti Chakra was given to his wife Smriti Anshuman today posthumously…. It had been only five months since their marriage 🥇
Anshuman Singh was a resident of Deoria district of Purvanchal…👏
