Excessive rain leads to destruction of several houses GADWALGAAD border VILLAGE IN UTTARKASHI

Excessive rains at the border village of Uttarkashi in Garhwal, Uttarakhand has resulted in damage of several houses and several domestic pets including buffaloes buried under the rubble. The excessive rains in Uttarkashi on Wednesday led to extensive damage of houses and domestic pets buried under the rubble . There is panic all around and the local authorities, SDRF and the villagers of Garhwalgaad at Uttarkashi border where extensive damage has occured are busy in the rescue operation digging the rubble to evacuate animals buried underneath. Hundreds of people have arrived at the site and are hectically engaged in rescue operation. Till now there is no report of any human loss but several domestic animals are believed to have been buried under the rubble. Several houses have been completely damaged in this calamity.
