URMI NEGI BESTOWED WITH PRESTIGIOUS DADA SAHEB PHALKE Film Puruskar FOR BEST ACTRESS IN REGIONAL FILM CATEGORY IN MUMBAI

The managing director of Snowy Mountains productions , renowned actress of Uttarakhand’s Garhwali films who has also acted with renowned and legendary Bollywood actors like Mithun Chakraborty, Rajesh Khanna, Devanand n several others having produced, directed and scripted three popular films Fyonli, Subheru Gham, Bathaun 2 – Sequel of Subheru Gham with social messages against massive migration to metropolises from the hills of Uttarakhand in search of job avenues and social evil illicit liquor consumption spoiling the youths of the hills, Urmi Negi is credited with prestigious “Dada Saheb Falke Film Award”, as the best actress of regional Garhwali Uttarakhandi film Bathaun 2 , the sequel of Subheru Gham. The prestigious award known as Dada Saheb Phalke Film Puruskar 2023 -24 was bestowed on Urmi Negi in the Best Actor category ( Regional cinema) Bathaun -Subheru Gham 2. The award was presented to her in a glittering function organised by Maharashtra International Film Festival Organisation, B R.Enterprises amid thundering applause of her fans and film lovers designated as the best actress.

Prior to this Urmi Negi’s regional Garhwali movie Subheru Gham was adjudged as the best regional film in Canada films festival. She has also received several national and international awards and recognitions for her unique acting, histrionics, mesmerising songs, music and production of several regional Garhwali movies including laurels from abroad.

Her movie Subheru Gham and Bathaun 2 its sequel did good business at Dehradun and Mumbai, including at Pauri , Rishikesh, national capital Delhi and in the theatres of several states of the country where Uttarakhandies live in good number.

The present chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami , former CM, former governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshiyari and former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat also lauded her movies and presented her awards to boost her outstanding talent in film production, script writing, direction and acting. Apart from these contributions she has worked as heroine in Kauthig, Ghar Jawain, Fyonli and several Bhojpuri and Nepali films .

She had also worked in Sautam, Swami Dada and in a film with Mithun Chakraborty in a lead role. Urmi is venturing in her new production , a Hindi and Garhwali movie the shooting etc of which will commence in a year or two. Kudos.
