Dr.Harak Singh Rawat warns for opening his mouth if interrogated by the premier investigating agency CBI.
The former minister of forests in BJP government before 2022 assembly elections, Congress leader Dr.Harak Singh warned that if the India’s premier investigating agency CBI interrogates him in the near future then he will disclose everything. His tine and tenor is a clear indications to the higher ups in the ruling party in the state reveal sources.
Dr.Harak Singh Rawat while addressing a press conference at Congress headquarter in the state’s capital Dehradun at Rajiv Bhawan in the presence of Garima Mehra Dasauni said that he is not involved in any wrong doing or corruption in the Jim Corbett Pokhra project and the probe being conducted in this case is primarily against the Jim Corbett Pokhara project and not against him.
If the CBI enquires him in future he is ready to answer their all the questions but also warned that he may open several secrets which may put lot of people in trouble. And when I will reveal the secrets by producing the real facts and secrets it will definitely be the black day for them, said Dr Rawat without naming anyone in person.
His warning was in a way indication to some of his detractors or those trying to put him in jeopardy, reveal sources.
Dr. Rawat questioned why is the probe only being executed against him , why not against all the government departments? He categorically said the enquiry should not be against him selectively but also against all the government departments. Dr Rawat clarified that he had commenced the Pokhara Jim Corbett Tiger project after consulting the central government with the sole aim to provide employment and giving a new direction to this project.
It may be recalled that Dr. Harak Singh Rawat had been in lot of controversies especially after he changed BJP just before the 2022 assembly elections and joined Congress party. He is known for his controversial remarks always keeping his detractors on tenterhooks.
Dr. Rawat’s daughter in law Anukriti Gusain, a former model and beauty queen has recently lauded prime minister Narendra Modi and joined the BJP. There are reports of her daughter in law also allegedly named in the said case.
Political observers day that case lodged against her and her father in law may be one of the reasons for her joining the BJP. She had contested as Congress candidate from Lansdowne in 2023 assembly elections losing to the BJP sitting MP Dalip Singh Rawat. Dr.Rawat is considered to be an outspoken leader being in controversy usually and known for changing parties frequently.
Past few months ago there had also been the Enforcement directorate raids at several locations of the former forest minister of Uttarakhand for his alleged involvement in corruption pertaining to the felling of thousand of trees in the Pokhara Project of Jim Corbett in which a big transformer and several crores of rupees including important and objectionable documents were seized by the ED.
