PRIME MINISTER NARENDRA MODI ANNOUNCES ABOUT CONFERMENT OF PRESTIGIOUS HIGHEST CIVILIAN HONOUR BHARAT RATNA TO L. K. ADVANI

The seventh former deputy prime minister and one of the founders of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh , also former home minister of India and ex BJP chief, 96 year old Lal Krishna Advani has been selected as the recipient of the highest civilian award of the country named BHARAT RATNA as announced by the prime minister Narendra Modi today.

The second BJP stalwart to receive this prestigious honour after the former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee veteran BJP leader also the member of Margdarshak Mandal, Lal Krishna Advani was informed about this significant decision of the Union Government by none other than prime minister Narendra Modi personally.

While announcing the name of the veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Adwani for this prestigious award prime minister posted on social media, platform X as below :
I am very happy to share that Shri LK Advani Ji will be conferred the Bharat Ratna. I also spoke to him and congratulated him on being conferred this honour. One of the most respected statesmen of our times, his contribution to the development of India is monumental. His is a life that started from working at the grassroots to serving the nation as our Deputy Prime Minister. He distinguished himself as our Home Minister and I&B Minister as well. His Parliamentary interventions have always been exemplary, full of rich insights.

Advani Ji’s decades-long service in public life has been marked by an unwavering commitment to transparency and integrity, setting an exemplary standard in political ethics. He has made unparalleled efforts towards furthering national unity and cultural resurgence. The conferring of the Bharat Ratna on him is a very emotional moment for me.
