The 4700 kilometer hectic NYAY YATRA led by former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi which entered Assam on the 7 th day has finished the two day tumultuous round with Rahul Gandhi acknowledging tremendous crowds and tumultuous welcome by cross section of the enthusiastic cheering crowds hailing the former Congress chief to the core. The Wednesday’s Bangaigaon NYAY YATRA was a grand success after large number of people from cross section of the society and political workers of Congress and left parties welcomed him with flags raising Rahul Gandhi Zindabad. The Congress leader came out of the car and mixed with women posing for photographs and raising hands in cheers welcoming others. Addressing a massive rally in Guwahati Congress leader Rahul Gandhi challenged the Assam chief minister Hemanta Biswas to register as much as cases against him in Assam and he is not at all worried about the cases. The Congress leader had participated in a largely attended road show at Barpeta, Assam up to its Bus stand and addressed a huge crowd coming out of the car strongly criticizing the chief minister Hemanta Biswas. Rahul Gandhi said the CM may lodge 25 FITs against him but he is not afraid of anything. When U spoke against Adani inside parliament my membership was cancelled and FIR lodged against me. Let me make it absolutely clear that RSS and BJP can’t bogg me down said Rahul Gandhi. On Tuesday the police took suo motto cognizance and lodged FIR against Rahul Gandhi for disturbing peace and creating violence etc. An FIR has already been registered against Rahul Gandhi. The Congress leader was a day before yesterday also not allowed to enter in the temple and hundreds of Congress followers including Rahul Gandhi squatted on Dharna and sang Bhajans in protest. Meanwhile, the chief minister of Assam has already made an announcement that the Congress leader will be arrested after the elections for sure as if arrested now, he will derive maximum political advantage. On the other hand the Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has, written a letter to union home minister demanding security for Rahul Gandhi and his entourage during the Bharat Jodo YATRA by intervening personally. He categorically mentioned in the letter how the BJP workers have tried to violate the security cover reaching near Rahul Gandhi but the police have not arrested a single person till date. The former JNU student leaders now in Congress Kanhaiya Kumar too accused the Assam CM for lodging false cases against Rahul Gandhi and trying to create obstacles and hiccups on the way of NYAY YATRA in Assam.
