Sachin Pilot elevated as national general secretary of Congress with charge of Chattisgarh. Selja to be Uttarakhand Incharge. Priyanka free of UP responsibility

After the defeat of Congress party in four states, especially in three Hindi heartland ( states) Rajasthan, Madhya, Pradesh and Chhattisgarh where it was in power except 15 months in Madhya Pradesh and also in view of the general elections round the corner, the Congress High command overhauled the organisation and deputed several central incharges of various states including making Sachin Pilot happy by appointing him as the national general secretary with the charge of Chhattisgarh state from where its present incharge Kumari Shailja has been sent to Uttarakhand.

Mr. Devendra Yadav, Uttarakhand Incharge against whom there were several complaints of incompetence has been given the charge of Punjab where Congress party needs total overhauling and rejuvenation.

The former union minister Kumari Shailja has a great responsibility as the new incharge of Uttarakhand Congress as the party organisation in this Himalayan state is not only badly faction ridden which has lost the state assembly elections in 2022 for the second time but several of its senior leaders have joined BJP earlier and those at the helm having lost the assembly elections in 2022 because of their incompetence and doubtful image having still stuck to senior positions, not retiring despite having enjoyed power for more than three decades at the centre and in the state becoming CM and Union minister several times. The super saturation point of such leaders have crossed all limits but are not ready to quit becoming liability on the state Congress not opening political avenues for younger leaders.

Presently there are four groups in Uttarakhand Congress led by the state chief Karan Mahara, another by Yashpal Arya, third group by Pritam Singh and fourth by Harish Rawat including Dr. Harak Singh Rawat a, disgruntled manipulating over ambitious leader.

The faction ridden Congress in Uttarakhand has not only led to the party losing in the 2022 assembly elections but if it’s not controlled and resurrected this time, it will cost the party in 2024 general elections tremendously as well as in the 2027 state assembly polls.

Therefore former union minister and senior Congress leader Kumari Shelja has a greater responsibility of a small Himalayan state that has only five MPs to resurrection it’s organisation from grass roots to the top making it free from internal squabbles and will have work hard to ensure that new, younger and energetic leaders with transparent image are brought on the front line and those liabilities to the party organisation are shown the door or kept on the back burner as merely inspiring and guiding force for younger leaders.

The former in charge, Secretary AICC Devendra Yadav tried his best but failed to rid the state of factionalism finally given the responsibility of Punjab, where Congress is in more disarray than in Uttarakhand.

The elevation of Sachin Pilot as the national general secretary with the charge of Chattisgarh has enhanced the stature of Pilot who stood by the party despite facing tremendous challenges in Rajasthan at the hands of the then CM Ashok Gehlot who tried his best to keep him at bay.

Sachin Pilot once, was the huge challenge for Ashok Gehlot government but saved his government honouring the directives of the trio of Nehru Gandhi family Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi.

According to the list released by the general secretary (organisation ) K. C. Venugopal, party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi have been relieved of the responsibility of Uttar Pradesh, not assigned further responsibility now.

Congress leader Mukul Wasnik was appointed as the Incharge of Gujarat whereas Randeep Singh Surjewala was assigned the responsibility of Karnataka.

Mr. Avinash Pandey have been made the incharge of Uttar Pradesh online if Priyanka Gandhi Vadra where Congress party is in bad shape having little chance of revival.

Mr. Jitendra Singh was given the charge of Assam and Madhya Pradesh while Deepak Babaria was given Delhi and additional charge of Haryana. The senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh continued as Communication incharfe of AICC with Venugopal to continue as general secretary ( organisation) .
