Harish Rawat questions Uttarakhand government on Mining issue through his post in Social media. Accuses administration for bringing outsiders at the cost of locals in mining ?
The outspoken veteran Congress leader and former chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat who never loses any opportunity to accuse the present BJP government of Uttarakhand almost daily has today again come out against the saffron party leaders and those ruling in the state raising several questions putting the government in the dock accusing the state administration for bringing the outside companies and people of other states to extract soil, sand to sell them at exorbitant profits thus ousting the local people n framing them in concocted, fabricated charges who earlier used to work in these mines.
In a hard hitting post on social media, the former CM of Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat wrote in Hindi : The Rivers are of Uttarakhand, the sand and soil is of Uttarakhand! Come on friends of BJP, you have now brought the company from outside and the state that extracts and sells sand has gone into the hands of outsiders. At least, earlier the people working with the people who were already doing such work in mines were locals, from Uttarakhand, having been employed for their families survival.
Now those people of Uttarakhand, who were working at such clearance centers of the Forest Corporation, are being thrown out and on the pretext of throwing them out, they are being booked for assault, meaning our river, our sand and our children are now being ousted and booked under various criminal charges, being thrashed as well in order to throw them out of employment.
Rawat wrote : Uttarakhand was formed to protect the rights of Uttarakhand, the poor, the unemployed, the weak and fought for them.
When big industries were set up here, we became the first state which made a law to provide 70 percent jobs to the local people in the factories/companies opening here and now you are bringing people from outside to sell our sand also asked Rawat from the present government. He charged : First you brought leaders from outside and warned that if you now bring people from outside to sell our sand, soil, our products and our land, it will not be tolerated any more said Harish Rawat in his, Facebook post tagging the state CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
