SEVEN DIE AND TWO DOZEN OR MORE SEVERELY INJURED AFTER A BUS OF HARYANA TOURISTS TO NAINITAL FELL DOWN IN A 200 METRES DEEP GORGE

Yet another tragic accident has occurred in Uttarakhand in which seven persons have died and twenty six injured, some grievously.

The tragedy took place in Nainital district at Nalani on Kaladhoongi Road when a bus carrying thirty three passengers lost control and fell in a deep gorge resulting in the brutal death of seven, five women, one men, and a children.

The bus fell two hundred meters downwards in a deep gorge while thirty three persons were traveling in it.

While seven died in this tragedy, more than two dozen passengers are reportedly injured, majority of them seriously.

On the directions of the Commandent of SDRF Manikant Mishra the SDRF team reached the accidental spot as soon as possible and after great efforts retrieved the dead bodies including rescued good number of the injured.

The passengers in Bus number HR 39E 0724 were from Hisaar Haryana and had been in excursion trip of fascinating hill station Nainital, not knowing that a bleak future and tragedy is awaiting them.

The rescue team comprised of SDRF, NDRF, local police and personnel who had done their best to rescue the injured, dispatched them to the nearest hospitals and sent the dead bodies for postmortem.

The accident occurred during the evening hours when visibility was almost negligible. The rescue teams had a really challenging evening sending the injured to hospitals and saving several lives. Salutes to them. The list of the dead :
