PROSTITUTION RACKET BUSTED IN RAIwala, Dehradun. Three girls, rescued and a mastermind arrested.

Uttarakhand is famous for being a religious state where four popular historic destinations invite millions of pilgrims at the DEVBHOOMI every year from various parts of the country n even globe.

But what is worrisome here is that not only has the crime rate increasing here gradually the cases of rampant prostitution are also being registered.

Just few months ago a well knitted network of prostitution run by a husband and wife was busted and several girls and women involved in this racket were rescued and the masterminds arrested and sent to jail.

It has been observed that the state’s capital Dehradun and its few hotels, spa centres and on line services are running these immoral prostitution rackets not only spoiling the name of DEVBHOOMI but also involving several innocent girls n women under the guise of hefty earnings from prospective customers majority of whom are from other states coming here or to Hill station Mussoorie for outing and seeking services of these gangs.

There are local customers too. According to a latest information in Dehradun a hotel run by one Bisht under Raiwala police station was operating a prostitution racket under which the call girls used to sent their pictures on social media to the prospective customers and the rates were fixed thereafter through various social media outlets through chats or phone whichever medium is convenient.

The active police on receiving a tip off arrested on person involved in this, racket and rescued three girls involved in this immoral prostitution. According to the news quoting the station house officer Raipur Hoshiyar Singh Pankholi – the prostitution racket was being operated from a Hotel Bisht Restaurant in Raiwala Market and the police swiftly acted on getting the necessary tip off.

On the arrest of the main mastermind Anand Singh of Tharali the police took the mobile phone into their captivity and got lot of clues in terms of numbers of the prostitutes, the customers and other contacts.

The prostitution racket was being operated from this hotel for the last six months and there was no scrutiny about this, occupant which is mandatory after any room in a hotel is hired by a person.

After scanning the phone of the mastermind of this immoral trafficking Anand Singh the police found the names of several girls and women involved in this prostitution who used to arrange hotels for the customers, on their own, thereafter charging a hefty amount.

The contacts of these prostitutes were linked to Haripurkalan area of Dehradun. The modes operandi was simple.

These girls or their mastermind used to first send the picture of the girls to prospective customers and then fixed the rates. After the clicking of the deal, the customers were called to the hotel booked by the girls/ women themselves.
