BJP bags the Bageshwar, Uttarakhand seat defeating Congress n UKD candidates ! Sympathy factor played a pivotal role !
The Bhartiya Janata Party has won the Bageshwar assembly seat in Uttarakhand. Its candidate Parvati Das, wife of sitting MLA late Chandan Das has defeated her immediate rival Basant Kumar, Congress candidate as well as the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal candidate Arjun Dev. At the concluding round of counting the Bageshwar by election BJP candidate who has been declared won had secured 32,192 votes while her immediate rival of Congress Basant Kumar had secured 29,382 votes. The chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami personally met and congratulated the BJP state chief Mahendra Bhatt and former state president of BJP n MLA Madan Kaushik and tweeted in X, earlier twitter : Met the present and former Uttarakhand BJP presidents Mahendra Bhatt and MLA Madan Kaushik and congratulated them on the party’s Bageshwar victory. Through another congratulatory message on X, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated Bageshwar winner Parvati Das and wrote : Heartiest regards and gratefulness of the respected inhabitants of Bageshwar for reposing faith and confidence on Bhartiya Janata Party . By this grand victory the respectful people of Bageshwar has reposed trust and faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the good works executed by the state government. The confidence reposed and support extended to nationalism, people’s welfare and development will be rewarded by way writing a new chapter of development.
