CABINET RESHUFFLE/ EXPANSION ON THE CARDS AFTER UK CM’S MEETING WITH PM AND BJP CHIEF NADDA ?
After the meeting of Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami with prime minister Narendra Modi and several union ministers in Delhi yesterday n day before, he finally met the national president of BJP J. P. Nadda allegedly getting clearance for a next possible reshuffle and expansion as there is already shortage of four ministers in the present council of ministers.
There are reports that in view of the fast approaching national elections and party’s major interest in re winning the five parliamentary seats, it want to give adequate and proper representation to all districts in order to keep everyone in good humour and expedite the developmental works of the areas.
Being a ruling party for the second time and acknowledging the wrath of electorates through Ankita Bhandari’s brutal murder by its own party man’s son compounded with the cheating scam of UKSSSC including the assembly secretariat job scam as well as the finance minister’s publicly thrashing video going viral in Social media and inflation etc have already created lot of anti incumbency against the saffron party government in the state.
Despite all this, the Uttarakhand CM is daily announcing various concessions like giving 10% reservations in jobs for Uttarakhand movement activists and his expediency on implementing the Uniform Civil Code in the state at the earliest which analysts say would also become a template for introducing law on UCC in two houses of parliament at the centre, working as a polarising factor for it.
It is believed that the prime minister Narendra Modi is very happy with Pushkar Singh Dhami on this front especially after his expediency to finalise the draft bill of UCC likely to be presented to him by the UCC drafting and expert committee.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday while meeting the national chief of BJP Mr. Nadda the chief minister is believed to have discussed about the addition of new faces in the cabinet, giving the performance cards of ministers to him and also discussing on possible removal of one or two old faces who’d brought bad name to the party. The way Prem Chandra Agarwal finance minister ‘s video had gone viral and the saffron party brought under question mark, it is believed that probably that factor may be taken into consideration but till now, there is no confirmed news about this. The other names that are being discussed for inclusion are fresh faces such as Vinod Kandari from Devprayag constituency, Munna Singh Chauhan a dashing leader waiting for long for his chance to come, from from Vikas Nagar, Khajaan Dass from Rajpur Road, Ritu Khanduri from Kotdwar, the present speaker, Fakir Ram Tamta from Gangolighat, Madan Kaushik from Haridwar, Bishan Singh Chufal from Kaladhungi, Bansidhar Bhagat etc.
Despite these speculations , there are also reports of showing doors to some ministers whose performance have been poor or below average and those who have brought bad name to the party.
However, it would be interesting to see as to which new face becomes the new speaker of Uttarakhand assembly if Ritu Khanduri as being speculated is made the cabinet minister. Though in politics nothing is certain and usually all assumptions go down in dustbin but at time they are hundred percent accurate too but in less percentage chances.
