MS Surgery Dr Anil Rawat of SAROJ HOSPITAL succumbed to Covid 19 even after taking 2 doses of COVISHIELD

The pandemic days have wrecked havoc with about two lakh forty thousand fatalities witnessed during the last one year since the commencement of dreaded Covid 19. Now, the crucial phase of vaccinations is in progress nationally with negligible cases of post fatalities having been witnessed after vaccinations. The hard lucked people though allegedly negligible in numbers who’d been innoculated with two sizes of jabs are still dying . According to a news report, in Saroj Hospital of Rohini a fifty eight year old MBBS, MD surgeon Anil Kumar Rawat whose wife is also a gynaecologist in the same hospital has succumbed to Covid 19 despite being innoculated with both the doses of Covishield in the month of March. Sounds shocking and traumatic. There had been several medical reports assuring countrymen of complete life safety after innoculation of two doses of Covid 19 vaccines Covaxin or Covishield being manufactured by Bharat Biotech of Hyderabad and Serum Institute of Pune, Maharashtra. Anil Rawat who has passed his MS Surgery from Delhi’s prestigious medical college Maulana Azad was associated with Saroj Hospital specialised in Cardiology since 1996 since the year of the hospital’s opening which was inaugurated by India’s the then president K. R. Narayanan. Dr. Rawat who had taken the second doze of Covishield in the first week of March , was admitted in Ventilator after his condition deteriorated and was not able to breathe. The report says that the ailing doctor Anil Rawat was so confident of recovery that even while on ventilator he has expressed his confidence of recovery saying that he will come back as he has taken both the doses of Covishield. But hard lucked Dr. Anil Rawat breathed his last yesterday. According to the report after contracting Covid 19 Dr. Rawat was in home quarantine for 12 days but he was admitted to the hospital after his oxygen level started dipping. Survived by a wife who is also a gynaecologist in the same hospital and a daughter, surgeon Dr. Rawat was fully taken care of in the hospital say the senior doctors but hard lucked Dr. Rawat succumbed to this dreaded disease even after having been innoculated by two doses of Covishield. Dr Rawat had developed pneumonia n his condition deteriorated with immense respiratory problems finally admitted in Ventilator. A fighter till the end brave Dr. Rawat got defeated finally. About eighty medical staff members were infected with Covid in Saroj Hospital with 12 doctors admitted in the hospital n rest sent into home quarantine.
