Accidents have become order of the day in Uttarakhand giving an impression that the Devbhoomi is cursed as on every alternative day there are fatal accidents. If we go by the statistics we’ll find tremendous tragic numbers of the dead unfortunately including the injured. Apart from accidents deaths from landslides, falling of boulders and deaths through bad roads by vehicles plying on hilly roads with uncontrollable speed, sometimes drivers in inebriated condition and blind turns etc have resulted in brutal deaths through vehicles falling in gorge taking acrobatics. Just yesterday a very tragic accident had occurred at Dudhouri area near Champawat in Kumaon, Uttarakhand in which four people died on the spot with their mutilated body found after their vehicle fell into a deep gorge. The former union minister and MP from Almora Ajay Tamta has expressed his deepest condolences on this tragic incident praying to Almighty to render peace to the departed souls. The accident occurred at 4 PM on Sunday when these travellers were heading towards Kathauli from Amodi. Initially three persons had died on the spot and two were grievously injured but one of the grievously injured died later in the hospital. The dreaded accident occurred at Khatoli Road in Kumaon division in Champavat district. The health officials and police reached the accidental site and had retrieved the injured and dead bodies from the gorge sending them to a local hospital forth with. The SDRF team were on the accidental site immediately after acknowledging the news. RIP
