FIFTY PERCENT POLLING TILL 5 PM IN MCD ELECTIONS. HOWEVER, POLITICAL ANALYSTS GIVE A CLEAR CUT EDGE TO AAP !

The Delhi Municipal Corporation elections went off peacefully with no untoward incident reported so far. However, by 5.00 PM there had been only 50% polling in 250 wards of national capital Territory of Delhi. There are reports of the polling percentage probably going slightly upwards after 5 PM after the details are acknowledged tomorrow as those who’d entered the polling stations periphery had voted till 6.00 PM. Both BJP and AAP, the main contesting political parties in one to one contest have claimed victory in the high stake contest. It sounds unique that the polling in entire national capital has been peaceful with not a single incident of indecency reported in any part of constituency of Delhi. The credit goes to about 25000 Delhi Police personnel debuted in various polling stations and 13000 home guards personal in addition to 100 companies of paramilitary forces. There had been claims and counter claims of both AAP and BJP gaining majority in these elections. However, after talking to some electorates in over fifty MCD constituencies of Delhi the author has come to the conclusion that AAM ADMi Party has an edge though BJP too doesn’t lack behind. News and political analysts however are giving AAP a thunderous victory with BJP being second and Congress in distant third position.
