DEADLY ACCIDENTS IN UKHAND ! 4 CHILDREN DROWNED AND 5 DIE IN ROAD ACCIDENT. RIP
Uttarakhand seems to have been cursed for drastic tragedies through road accidents, man eater kills, natural disasters or through drowning in rivers.
While during the last five years there had been about 5000 deaths in tragic road accidents – in just two days 22 people have died in road accidents due to various reasons, when the vehicles fell down in deep gorge 400 to 500 metres down n while drowning in a river.
On Saturday while five persons died in a deadly accident in Uttar Kashi when their vehicle fell down into a gorge 400 metres downwards near Brahmakhal while going to Purola, from Uttarkashi, four adolescents died in a Kail river after being drowned near Kalseeri village under Deval block in Chamoli district.
Just yesterday on 18 November in Chamoli district itself twelve persons had died when a Max fell into a deep gorge. The Max was overloaded with fifteen persons with five severely injured.
According to a latest news – since Friday four children all of a sudden disappeared from their house with their families looking for them anxiously.
However, after the intensive search by the parents and relatives of the missing four children an information was acknowledged that the dead bodies have been traced in the Kail river near Haat Kalyani Salad motor road.
On receiving this information there was panic all around and the police was informed. The police rushed to the spot and retrieved four dead bodies from the river. All the four dead children were 15, 16 and 17 years old. There is a possibility of these children allegedly having consumed drugs ( narcotics substance) etc.
Their bodies had been sent for post mortem.
In another deadly accident a speeding car fell down in a gorge while commuting on Dharasu Yamunotri national highway killing five persons.
The car was heading to Purola from Uttarkashi. The founder of SDC Anoop Nautiyal while expressing his serious concern over these accidental deaths in Uttarakhand has urged the state government to prepare a clear road map to reduce fatalities in the Himalayan state.
Not only this but according to Anoop Nautiyal during the last six months 72 persons have lost their precious lives in three massive heart wrenching accidents as below. He felt an urgent need for road safety inter departmental coordination at multiple levels as on the contrary the state is lacking every where especially in terms of taking road safety measures giving an unambiguous impression that those ruling in the state are sleeping snowing high despite so much of deadly accidents taking place incessantly.
