Earthquake of the magnitude of 6.3 /5.6 occurred in Nepal with tremors felt in Delhi n NCR at 1.57 AM.

An earthquake occurred in Nepal with strong tremors felt in Delhi, national capital regions Noida, Gurugram and neighbouring areas. The earthquake that occurred at 1.57 AM in Nepal was of 5.6 magnitude with its depth being ten kilometres below.

According to the National Centre of Seismology as tweeted the magnitude of earthquake was of 6.3/5.6 on the Richter scale, occured on 9 th November, at 1.57 AM, Latitude 29.24 n long 81.06 with depth of 10 kilometres below with Nepal being it’s location. Three people have so far been reportedly death but the impact of the quake was much probably more such tremor in the offing. Just a few days ago an earthquake with comparatively less intensity of 6.3/5.3 on Richter scale was experienced in Nepal. Though Delhi n NCR felt strong tremors but as per Delhi Disaster Management Authority they haven’t received any call of casualty or destruction so far. The epic centre of this earthquake was shown at Dailekh Nepal about 90 kilometres South East of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand with people on social media writing o these tremors immediately. What is important to note is that even as per information of the United States Geological Survey the region had been through two tremors of earthquake in the region in the evening hours of 4.9 and 3.5 magnitudes on Richter Scale. According to Europeon Mediterranian Seismological Centre the earthquake was 76 kilometres NorthWest of Dailekh Nepal asking to share experiences of this, earthquake n tremors.

It may be recalled that Nepal is a highly seismic zone having experienced several dangerous life taking earthquakes. It’s worth recorded earthquake was in 1934 of 8.0magnitude on RS completely destroying the Kathmandu Bakhtapur and Patan. According to a report in MINT, the Indian plate underneath the earth in Nepal region is getting subducted under the Eurasean Plate a year making it responsible for the formation and increasing the height of young fold mountains thus making the region prone to repeated earthquakes.
