MISFIT UTTARAKHAND CM REMOVED, DHAN SINGH RAWAT N ANIL BALUNI IN RACE
The Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Sungh Rawat has finally bowed down to the increasing rebellion within his party and the orders of high command. He resigned today morning submitting the resignation letter to the governor of Uttarakhand Baby Rani Maurya as a desciplined party soldier though after trying his level to convince the central party leadership about his relevance as the ablest chief minister of Uttarakhand despite being rated as the worst and most unpopular CM amongst other chief ministers of various states of the country.
The resignation of Trivendra Singh Rawat having ruled Uttarakhand for four years facing all odds n silent rebellion within his own party after five year rule of the only Uttarakhand CM Narain Dutt Tiwari, has surprised and shocked one and all in Uttarakhand as he was not only extremely close to the union home minister Amit Shah as his henchman but people were expecting that he may probably be retained, by the party high command issuing him final warning to resurrect the organisation in Uttarakhand ensuring its victory in the assembly elections of 2022.
The unceremonial exit of Trivendra Singh Rawat, just a year before the ensuing elections is in a way unambiguous signal to other chief ministers of BJP ruled state as well that they should put their house in order or be ready to see the exit door as happened in Uttarakhand.
The unexpected resignation of chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat despite his being an RSS hardliner and union home minister Amit Shah’s crony opening doors for new CM contenders viz Uttarakhand’s education minister and strong RSSite Dhan Singh Rawat, rajya sabha MP Anil Baluni, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank or Satpal Maharaj in view of the fast approaching state elections it has become ansolutely clear that the prime minister Marendra Modi or union home minister Amit Shah including the national party chief JP Nadda are in no mood to relent and see BJP being defeated at the hustings at the hands of Congress party. There had been number of complaints against the Uttarakhand CM to the high command regarding his arrogance, inefficiency, disregardung the party lawmakers, alleged corruption charge in a subjudiced case with the CM given temperory refuge from the apex court, brutal lathicharge on women protestors at Bararisain, encouraging factionalism in the party, announcement of new division of Gairsain, taking the management of all historical shrines on state’s side through an ordinance and degradation of BJP’s image n reputation in the eyes of the electorates including publicly insulting a woman petitioner teacher Uttara Pant Bahuguna in his Durbar last year etc.
Though there had been several people friendly large budget announcements by him recently in view of the state elections coming near, the outgoung chief minister was not able to win the hearts of the state electorates with various surveys terming him as the worst and lowest popular chief minister in the country, bringing bad name to the saffron party. It was on 7th February that the astrological stars of Trivendra Singh Rawat saw a rapid decline when all pf a sudden the central party leaders of BJP viz. former Chatyisgarh CM n vice president of BJP Raman Singh and the national general secretary and Uttarakhand incharge Dushyant Singh converged at the state capital Dehradun asking its all lawmakers n CM Rawat to rush back to Dehradun.
A core meeting held at the state capital by these central party leaders deliberated at length with all the lawmakers, including the rebels and submitted a report to the BJP high command resulting in calling Trivendra Singh Rawat to Delhi. The UK CM met the union home minister Amit Shah, national party chief JP Nadda and the general secretary BL Santosh and explained his position to convince them but of no avail. He also met the Rajya Sabha MP n national media incharge of BJP Anil Baluni at his Lodi Estate bungalow earlier held by Priyanka Gandhi n deliberated for quite some time. But despite his best exercise he was asked to quit. On 9 th morning Trivendra Singh Rawat submitted his resignation to the governor Baby Rani Maurya pitting at rest all speculations.
The latest news reports suggest that three names are doing the rounds in BJP political corridors with Dhan Singh Rawat, state education minister and RSSIte n close to PM Modi n Amit Shah on the top of the list followed by Anil Baluni and Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Reliable sources say that the RSS is more inclined to favour Dhan Singh Rawat being its old n dedicated PRACHARAK with BJP also favouring him being a Rajput who constitute 70% vote bank in Uttarakhand than a brahmin nominee.
Moreover, Anil Baluni has recently comeout of cancer being bit ill n not in good health absolutely. However, nothing is confirmed in politics and equations n developments change every now and then. Lets keep our fingers crossed till the new CM of Uttarakhand is announced. On Wednesday afternoon all lawmakers have been asked to assemble in Dehradun at the CM’s residence to elect a new leader in the presence of two central observers Raman Singh and Dushyant Kumar, MP n VP n general secretary of national BJP who are the state observers to decide the political fate of the next Uttarakhand CM.
