Field Marshal and former cabinet minister, founder of UKD Diwakar Bhatt died today at 79

The renowned veteran leader of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, founder and former cabinet minister during the tenure of retired Major Bhuvan Chand Khanduri the then CM of Uttarakhand , Diwakar Bhatt, also known as FIELD Marshal has breathed his last at his residence after being released from Indresh Hospital in Dehradun. He was 79 years old.
Diwakar Bhatt, who played an active role in the Uttarakhand state movement in Srinagar Garhwal while being an ITI student, became the founding vice president of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal formed in Mussoorie in 1979. Diwakar Bhatt died after being in ventilator fir several days in Indresh Hospital due to age related ailments and after slipping in his house.
Thousands of Uttarakhand statehood activists who have dedicated their youth to the statehood movement, wished Bhatt ji a speedy recovery.
The Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Trivendra Singh Rawat , MP and former CM and several other leaders met him at the hospital.
He was discharged from hospital today after the doctors monitoring his health lost further hope asking the family members to take him home. As soon as he reached home, the UKD leader breathed his last. Om Shanti.
