A HORROR MOVIE DIRECTED BY ANUJ JOSHI IN GARHWALI DIALECT ” ASGAAR” WAS A HOUSE FULL AT JAIPURIA MALL PVR AT INDIRAPURAM ON SUNDAY
The Anuj Joshi directed horror movie in Garhwali dialect namely “ASGAAR” , shot in a village of Jaunsaar Bhavar, district Dehradun from where belongs the leading Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal with beautiful and serene location is a movie with precision, perfection and outstanding cinematography, dialogue delivery and melodious songs n music including a thoroughly sensitive script shedding light on the recurrence of a woman ghost and deity trend that dominates the Uttarakhand tradition and creates an environment of horrible terror in a village for the blunder committed by the ancestors two hundreds years ago leading to the brutal death of a bride in a deep gorge.
The sensitive and attractive movie comprising of all the angles of perfect direction, acting, cinematography, camera work, melodious singing, mesmerising music, accurate dialogue deliveries and acting with precision by all the characters with negligible mistakes, unambiguously speaks of the fact that direction of the film is not only remarkable but having been shot in just twenty two days with a limited budget in a village during winters in minus temperature also indicates the tremendous maturity of those involved in the regional film making including the team mates.
The mind becomes thrilled after seeing a glimpse of a 200 year old wedding procession. Anuj Joshi deserves congratulations for filming the scenes of that period exactly. Nagau village situated in the beautiful valleys of Jaunsar and the unmatched craftsmanship of its temples and buildings and the night scenes, Tehri Lake and the location of Chopta are picturesque to behold.
Kudos.
