20 year old arrested after abducting n raping an adolescent girl at Rishikesh !
The Rishikesh Uttarakhand police has arrested a 20 year old culprit of Lakkad Ghat, Shyampur, Rishikesh who’d abducted an adolescent 17 year old girl and raped her after confining her in a room for thirteen days.
An FIR 510/ 2022 under section 363 was lodged at police station Kotwali, Rishikesh and after the alertness of the local police, the culprit Pintu aged 20 years was arrested on 13 th November from Vikas Nagar where he had clandestinely kept the girl to marry her and girl rescued safely.
According to the statement of the culprit, he, after manipulating, abducted the adolescent girl on 31 October on her consent to marry her and took her in his motorcycle to a room at Vikas Nagar since then.
The police traced the boy and the girl through the assistance of CCTV footages.
A case has been registered against the culprit Pintu aged 20 years under sections 376, 366 A of IPC and also under POSCO act. A team of Sub Inspector Chintamani Naithani, Constable Dushyant,lady constable Mitra and Constable Navneet Negi deserve to be complimented for arresting the culprit and rescuing the minor girl.
