1000 kilometre Sakht Bhu Kanoon Yatra commences from Dehradun on Tuesday
The Sakht Bhu Kannon Yatra ( Concrete Land Act Mobilisation campaign journey) in several cars comprising of the activists of Sakht Bhu Kanoon Andolan Committee, Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, left parties, Uttarakhand Civil Society, Uttarakhand Raksha Morcha etc has commenced from Gandhi Park, Dehradun, which was delayed due the the tragic demise of CDS General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Singh and senior army officers n technical team accompanying the general in an Army Helicopter crash heading for Wellington Army staff college at Nilgiri hills in Coonoor, Tamilnadu. This fifteen days mobilisation yatra to cover 1000 kilometres in various districts of Garhwal and Kumaon region of Uttarakhand will converge at Gandhi Park Dehradun.
This mobilisation Yatra to demand enactment of Concrete Land Act of Uttarakhand revoking the old one on the lines of Himachal Pradesh was flagged off by the leader of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, Trivendra Singh Panwar at Dehradun today. This Yatra being led by Prabhat Kumar of Civil society has acknowledged the wholehearted support of the regional political party Uttarakhand Kranti Dal. The district units of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal will welcome these mobilisation campaign activists at all the district headquarters where public meeting n corner meeting would be held to mobilise the general public and shall also burn the copies of anti people old land act copies, demanding enactment of the new CONCRETE LAND ACT.
The activists of this Yatra were today wholeheartedly Ballupur, Panditwaadi, received by UKD at Prem Nagar, Nanda ki Chowki, Jhajhra, Selkui, Sehaspur, Harbertpur, Vikas Nagar, Daak Pathar, Kalsi n other points after having been started from Gandhi Park. This mobilisation campaign journey will go via Uttarkashi to all the districts to Chamoli n then to Kumaon Mandal Bageshwar, other districts of Kumaon and then to Haldwani finally reaching Haridwar, Rishikesh and then Dehradun Gandhi Park.
Accusing the present government for enabling selling of entire land from plains to the peaks of Uttarakhand hills, leader of this rally Prabhat Kumar reiterated that constrained to sell their agricultural lands to the ultra rich at throw away prices the day is not far when the poor, economically deprived and marginalised sections will be compelled to become their servants n bonded labours in their big farm houses. The government should immediately revoked the old land act and put complete ban on sale of land to outsiders to enable the locals have full claims on their lands. The enactment of a strong concrete land act in Uttarakhand is the only solution to the the people’s woes said the leader of Sakht Bhi Kanoon Prabhat Kumar.
The senior journalist and Uttarakhand Kranti Dal Leader Shiv Prasad Semwal categorically said that UKD has given its full support to this most genuine cause and as such is whole heartedly participating in this mobilisation Yatra having issue clear directives to its cadre to come forward tooth and nail demanding the enactment of a strong land act of Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal demands that outsiders should be immediately prohibited to buy lands in Uttarakhand and article 371 imposed forthwith as us the case in several hully states and that of North Eastern States. It has assured the people if Uttarakhand that it will vabish this act on the very first day of its coming to power.
