IYC n Delhi Congress activists arrested. Were protesting on Pegasus and Karnataka Egg scam issues

Indian Youth Congress today protested against Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare Smriti Irani for bribery case in the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare, Government of Karnataka. Raising anti BJP government and anti Union Minister Smriti Irani slogans holding play cards highlighting the egg scam of Karnataka, demanding her resignation, the angered youth Congress activists were later on arrested by Delhi Police for violating prohibitory orders etc. The play cards of protesting n slogan shouting youth Congress activists read : BJP’s egg scam with Pregnant Women and infants, The Funda of Modi- Money, Scam in Karnataka etc.
Meanwhile hundreds of volunteers of Delhi Pradesh Congress led by its chief Anil Choudhary also protested out the residence of Union home minister Amit Shah today and were arrested by Delhi Police. The protest demonstration was in connection with alleged Pegasus spying on forty journalists, their leader Rahul Gandhi, several opposition leaders n members of judiciary n MPs demanding a high level enquiry and alleged resignation of the home minister
The president of the National President of Indian Youth Congress, Srinivas BV said that the BJP government, which had so called populist slogans like slogans “na Khaunga na Khaane Dunga, is now not even depriving children of their under the scheme “food for children” By committing a massive egg scam in Karnataka.

The national Youth Congress chief Srinivas BV also said that the sting operation has made it absolutely clear that the minister has allegedly demanded commission for the purchase of eggs under the Matru poorna scheme adding that while on the one hand the government is not allocating funds for development works, on the other hand its leaders are trying to fill their pockets by misusing their official positions. He demanded that both Union Minister Smriti Irani and Karnataka Government Minister Jole should resign with immediate effect and the entire matter should be investigated by Lokayukta.
The Delhi police lateron took several IYC activists into custody ferrying them to Mandir Marg police station.
Youth Congress general secretary and Delhi In-charge Bhaiya Pawar, national secretary and Delhi Co-Incharge Khushboo Sharma, Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress President Ranvijay Singh Lochav, Youth Congress National Secretary Mohit Chaudhary and many Youth Congress workers were also arrested.
