Will the big fish behind the cheating n recruitment scam of Uttarakhand be brought to justice ?
The present recruitment and cheating scam of Uttarakhand that arrested a mastermind – an innocent looking face from Uttarkashi, earlier a member of Jila Panchayat Hakam Singh and several others including some officials involved in this shabby affair has now shifted to the Uttarakhand Assembly secretariat where allegedly several arbitrary appointments were made since 2002 after the state coming into existence after so much of sacrifices.
According to the recent development while the ongoing investigation by STF into the cheating n recruitment scam of Uttarakhand SSSC has resulted in several arrests of big fish, including suspension of senior officers and news appearing about exam papers being clandestinely bought by a Lucknow based company for Rs.
Two crores etc and leaked exam question papers of security assistants, solved in Haridwar including at cheating centres in Nagina in Bijnaur district Of UP.
There are also reports about the PRO of the present CM’s staff’s wife, cabinet ministers Satpal Maharaj’s staff, Rekha Arya’s staff member , Madan Kaushik’s PRO’s wife etc being given permanent jobs in Assembly secretariat and the former speaker during Congress rule Govind Singh Kunjwal too openly admitting without any remorse that he had allegedly appointed his daughter in law and son in Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha but legally, including another speaker Prem Agrawal appointing his son, arbitrarily. Kunjwal even goes to the extent saying that he had appointed 25 to 30 persons more and wrote letters for the appointments of several others hailing from Congress n BJP in Vidhan Sabha secretariat as it is the prerogative of the speaker to do so. He even went to the extent saying that during the tenure of former speaker late Mr. Pant about five hundred recommendation letters for jobs in Assembly secretariat we’re allegedly written by him, which is not wrong.
Similarly after the Assembly secretariat recruitment scam was exposed in media, the former Assembly speaker now a minister in BJP government Prem Aggrawal catagorically said that there is nothing arbitrary in these appointments as Speakers are entitled to do appointments further asking : how would the work of Gairsain summer capital continue – had these appointments not made on urgent basis while talking to reporters in Dehradun. He has, allegedly misused his powers in the appointment of his son termed as all official and as per departmental norms.
There are also rumours about a former education minister during Congress rule earlier having made lot of appointments in education department of his relatives and family members.
In Uttarakhand the way this massive scam in UKSSSC has been exposed with its mastermind being happily embraced, awarded by ministers and even ministers feeling good to happily pose with him for photo ops – have raised several questions about the alleged patronage being given to the mastermind of this massive recruitment n cheating scam. What is shocking and surprising about this fact is that not a single minister, leaders of the ruling or opposition Congress have protested or spoken against this arbitrary Vidhan Sabha recruitment scam despite the hard fact that they have otherwise been extremely vocal on other issues like skyrocketing inflation and alleged harrassment and victimisation of Congress leaders by ED n CBI. ” Hamam Mein Sab Nange Hain”, say some political analysts of Uttarakhand. The moot question is will the STF nail a white collar big fish behind this organised crime or it will die like earlier scams as a usual common affair , question the news analysts ? It may be recalled that Hakam Singh has been expelled from the primary membership of the saffron party and all the politicians in photo with the mastermind has denied of any link with him except of the fact that being a BJP activist he used to come to them in functions getting his photo clicked which usually happens with all leaders who couldn’t guarantee about the fishy affair of anyone getting his or her photo clicked with them.
