Rithala Barwala-Bawana-Narela Metro Route Sangharsh Samiti, Narela Delhi organized a meeting in support of their long pending demand for providing metro rail network in Barwala, Bawana, Narela area at Sanatan Dharma Mandir, Punjabi Colony, Narela.

In this meeting, all the major social, RWA, religious, commercial, cultural, Delhi Model Original Rural Society of Barwala, Narela, Bawana, Puth Khurd, Prahladpur Bangar, Bawana, Bawana Industrial Area, Rohini Sector-24, 25,35,36 and hundreds of representatives from Barwala, Delhi Panchayat Sangh etc actively participated.

All the representatives present in the meeting expressed their strong indignation and deep concern over the unjust and step-motherly treatment being meted out to the residents and the continuous neglect of the villagers. All the speakers warned the Central and Delhi governments and administration in one voice that they won’t vote them if their demand is not met forth with.

If there is no metro till Narela, then there will be no votes in 2024 Lok Sabha elections warned the protesters.

Vats said that the Metro Sangharsh Samiti observed a mass fast on July 9, 2023 in Narela. A day later, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said in a press release that the Narela Metro line would be extended to Nathupur via Kundli in Haryana.
