While the Fiscal deficit of Uttarakhand government has reached a whopping 75 thousand crores , CM, ministers travel allowance/ misc expenses increased to Rs. 90000

Though the political leaders , especially those holding the ministerial positions in state and central governments always enjoy the luxury and lucrative comforts of all the privileges and on that the financial privileges as well but in Uttarakhand , the state facing the financial deficit of more than 75 thousand crores , the ministers’ miscellaneous monthly expenses to be spent on THEIR travels has been further increased from Rs. 60000 to Rs 90000 thus giving them more opportunities to enjoy to the hilt and spent without any control. From now onwards the chief minister, ministers
, state and even deputy ministers of Uttrakhand will now get Rs. thirty thousand more while they are on tours as travelling allowance . They will now be receiving Rs. Ninety thousand instead of Rs. 60000 reveals the news reports. WOW.
According to the latest development the government of Uttarakhand has enhanced this monthly travelling expenses from Rs. Sixty thousands to ninety thousands thus making every minister jubilant who are already well equipped with the lucrative comforts and luxuries.
The ordinance regarding this announcement was released on Thursday by the Secretary, Ministerial council Shailesh Bagiyali in Dehradun.
It may be recalled that though in Uttarakhand the salary and allowance etc are implemented by the Uttarakhand minister( Salaries, Allowances and dispersion) Act 2009 this journey / travel allowances are fixed and introduced by the earlier Uttar Pradesh Minister ( Travelling Allowance mannual) 1097 making certain convenient amends .
The ruling political dispensation of Uttarakhand has made certain amends in this act and increased the travelling allowances for Uttarakhand CM, ministers , deputy and state ministers accordingly.
This new facility of increment of thirty thousand rupees will be applicable to all , the CM, cabinet and state ministers including the deputy ministers etc.
If they travel outside the state in connection with the official works they will be entitled for miscellaneous expenses. This limit has now been enhanced from 60000 rupees to 90000 rupees. Last year in Gairsain assembly session the MLAs salary related allowances also witnessed a good increase making everyone happy whether they are from the ruling party or opposition. Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand Congress chief Ganesh Godiyal the only leader to criticize the decision said that the bank accounts of all the ministers etc should be checked / scrutinized to find how and whether they really use their salaries. He said he doubts if they really even spend the single rupee on them. He asked where the huge money is coming to them from, to lead their lucrative life styles. This needs to be investigated. Increasing the travel allowance on such a scale in view of the state already under the huge debt is ridiculous and worrisome said the state Congress chief Ganesh Godiyal.
