When Mangesh Ghildiyal IAS in PMO sang a popular Garhwali song “THANDO RE THANDO PANI”, in YUCA event, surprising the audience ?

The popular young bureaucrat of Uttarakhand, formerly district magistrate of Tehri Garhwal and Rudraprayag, now in PMO Mangesh Ghildiyal surprised the audience when he sung Narendra Singh Negi’s song THANDO RE THANDO PAANI… at the YUCA function amid cheers and thunderous applause at Minto Road auditorium.

Meanwhile, Veena Tiwari, an eminent regional singer of yesteryears from Uttarakhand was accorded the Legendary Young Uttarakhand Cine Award with Brijmohan Sharma, a renowned veteran actor of Uttarakhand getting the life time achievement honour at a glittering function held in an Auditorium at Kedarnath Sahni Auditorium Minto Road, New Delhi on Saturday April 30. These prizes carried Rs 21000 as cash with a fascinating YUCA TROPHY. The undersecretary at PMO IAS Mangesh Ghildiyal presented the cheque of Rs 21000 and the YUCA trophy to the legendary veteran singer Verna Tiwari.

A short regional Uttarakhand film in Garhwali dialect titled ” Bol Diyan Uma”, directed by a young actor and singer as well, son of legendary singer of Uttarakhand, Narendra Singh Negi, Kavilas Negi was adjudged as the best Short Film, winning the YUCA trophy.

Several awards for best lyricist, singer, movie, recreation, script writing, acting etc were also bestowed to the outstanding winners.

The event was quite mesmerising and colourful with singers and folk dancers in colourful attires performing their best regional numbers and prominent young melodious singer Neha Khankriyal impressing one and all present on this ocassion by her mesmerising songs with audience dancing merrily, enjoying to the hilt.

Anchored very ably and with dexterity, Surendra Singh Rawat in local dialects and Neha Khankriyal including a Radio Jockey of Uttarakhand Kavya, were the special attractions of the Show.

The popular former DM of Rudraprayag, now under secretary in PMO thrilled the audience by his song ” Thando Re Thando…. ” originally written, sung and music composed by legendary singer Narendra Singh Negi, on his special request.

The chief guests on the ocassion were many but IAS, posted at as undersecretary PMO Mangesh Ghildiyal and Sangeet Academy award recipient, legendary singer, poet and literateur Negi were the main attraction of the event.

This was the tenth award function of YUCA held after a gap of two years die to challenging Covid times losing some of their prominent actors n artists.

Several dignitaries were felicitated on this ocassion including Mangesh Ghildiyal, IAS, PMO, Narendra Singh Negi including the artists and jurists of the event.

The renowned Uttarakhand commedian artist Dhanna Bhai , formerly holding a state ministerial rank was also felicitated on this ocassion for his outstanding contribution to Uttarakhandi cinema entertaining the people by his humorous histrionics.

Mr. Diwani Singh Bajeli, eminent art critic n recipient of Sangeet Natak Academy Award was also present on this accasion.
