Wheat and millet threshing machine invented by Rajendra Semwal, agricultural scientist may prove to be an invaluable gift to farmers n women working in farmlands relentlessly

The farmers, especially the relentlessly struggling women working in the agricultural fields and fully dedicated to farming has been blessed with a revolutionary invention or innovation by an agricultural scientist Rajendra Semwal with regard to a wheat and millet crop threshing machine extremely useful for them which will in no time single out wheat and millet from their crops thus not only saving their precious time and labour but will also result in lessening their hard labour and tardiness of health.

It may be recalled that the hard working women and old men including school going girls in villages usually thresh the wheat or millet crops in large quantities with their hands and legs to single out the wheat n millet that is not only tiresome but also extremely time consuming.

This new machine invented n developed by a scientist Rajendra Semwal, earlier with the prestigious, TATA group, now retired was today inaugurated by the Uttarakhand Agriculture minister Ganesh Joshi in a function jointly organised by Parvatiya Lok Vikas Samittee and Atharv Agrotech Engineering firm in Rishikesh.

Lauding the immense efforts and technical intellect of agricultural scientist Rajendra Semwal, the minister thanked him for his novel contribution in lessening the burden of farmers of the country and Uttarakhand especially women and assured of his government giving it its formal recognition to ensure that these wheat and

millet thrashing machines are manufactured in access with Uttarakhand government granting subsidy to the project.

The programme was ably anchored by the chief patrin of the above organisation Dr. S. P. Semwal and presided over by the Mayor of Rishikesh.

Several social dignitaries including journalists Sunil Negi, Ashutosh Negi and President of Swadeshi, Uttarakhand Pramod Raturi n Uttarakhand’s leader actor Baldev Rana etc were felicitated for their outstanding contribution in journalism and promotion of regional films n dialects including acting etc.

The thrashing wheat n millet crops machine that costs around Rs fifty thousand would cost less in future if the quantam of sale increases manifold and the state government gives subsidy to the farmers interested to buy them.

According to the inventer of the machine it took him several years to finally make his dream come true to help the farmers n women working in farms to lessen their hard labour and relentless struggle by way of bringing this wheat n millet crops thrashing machine to their doorsteps urging the Uttarakhand government to subsidise it and ensure its wide scale manufacturing to make it cheaper and usable in every village of the state furthering it to the pan India level, thereafter.
