Well known journalist, critic and poet Pradeep Sardana honoured with Hindi Academy’s ‘Rashtriya Gaurav Sammaan’
New Delhi December 22, 2024. Renowned senior journalist, columnist, poet and well known film critic Shri Pradeep Sardana honoured with the prestigious ‘Rashtriya Gaurav Sammaan’ by Hindi Academy, Mumbai.
This honour has been given to Shri Pradeep Sardana for his national consciousness, dedicated learning, inspiring outlook and excellent contribution in the field of education, society and poetry-literature.
In a special ceremony held in Mumbai, this honour has been given to Shri Sardana by senior lyricist, poet Dr. Dhananjay Singh, Assistant Director of Akashvani Ramavtar Bairwa, Professor and Head of Hindi Department, Sardar Patel University Gujarat Dr. Dilip Mehra, and President of Hindi Academy Mumbai Dr. Pramod Pandey.
In the ceremony, Shri Pradeep Sardana also recited his poems. The entire ceremony reverberated with applause after listening to his poem ‘Jag ki Reet’. It is noteworthy that Shri Pradeep Sardana started his writing and journalism career at the age of 13 years. Shri Sardana, who has been honoured with many national and international awards, has many records of extraordinary work done in his field and various exemplary achievements in his name.
Prominent among these are the records of being the youngest editor of the country, being pioneer of journalism on Television in India and being live on national news channels for 52 hours in 4 days.
Shri Pradeep Sardana, who is associated with all three major mediums of journalism – print, electronic and digital, is also the President of ‘Aadharshila’, an old institution of writers, journalists and artists.
