We don’t have positions vacant. Will assess the WINNABILITY chances and then decide says, Rawat, on welcoming those interested to join Congress

In view of the fast approaching elections in Uttarakhand after independent lawmaker and former minister from Dhanaulty Tehri Garhwal joining BJP yesterday there are rumours about certain MLAs joining Congress. The national general secretary of Congress and chief of the election campaign committee Harish Rawat however said that he has no news about this speculation nor had any lawmaker spoken to him when he was asked by mediamen regarding some of them in his contact. However, Harish Rawat said that the party will assess various pros and cons including their chances of WINNABILITY before accepting them into the party fold. On Thursday veteran Congress leader n firmer CM Rawat who is busy in the Parivartan Yatra catagorically said that if anyone is interested to join the Congress we will first asses the various pros n cons n his or her chance of WINNABILITY before arriving at any decision to admit them in the party or not. He said that now they are in BJP and it is the party’s accountability to given them positions, however, if they come to us they will be counted as freshers n on assessing then good n bad sides we will decide, whether to accept them or not. He also said that it is not that we have all positions vacant. We have our prime responsibility towards those dedicated party workers who have for the last several years worked hard for the party kept its flag high. They need to be obliged first. However we can consider those names of old Congressmen, intending to join us whose winning chances look bright. Rawat eas responding to the questions of mediamen today.
