Want to become a chess world champion one day says five year old World’s youngest child prodigy in FIDE chess Tejas Tiwari of Uttarakhand

There is an old saying in Hindi ” HONHAAR BEERVAAN KE HOT CHEEKNE PAAT”, meaning that the outstanding qualities of a boy or a girl are observed while he or she are in cradle or a child. This proverb has relevantly come true in the case of merely five year old Tejas Tiwari of Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, whose outstanding feats in FIDE chess are being published in various national dailies and vernacular media of India.

At just an age of five Tejas has achieved an incredible triumph in the World by securing an outstanding title of first youngest ever FIDE PLAYER in the World as India’s youngest child prodigy.

Exceptional and outstanding rather a Gem, Tejas’s dream is to become the chess grandmaster and bring laurels for the nation by winning international chess championship in future.

It is indeed beyond belief to see a merely five year old child prodigy earning outstanding name by his remarkable performance at the incredibly tender age of five earning the title of the youngest FIDE player in the world.

Reminding Uttarakhand and the countrymen especially the chess lovers of the then and even now – youngest prodigy Parimarjan Negi, from Garhwal Uttarakhand who is an Indian chess grandmaster and credited for achieving the title of chess grand master just at the age of thirteen years and four months which made him the second youngest master in history at the time.

These days Parimarjan is in USA having completed his, PhD. His father is a GM in corporate and PR affairs in AAI, Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Highly enthused to learn chess while he was just three years old watching his father and other members playing chess in the family Tejas grasped the interest in this game immaculately and generated in him passion to play it.

This is unbelievable actually as at the age of three, four or five a child is not suppose to grow so strong intelligently as grew Tejas of Uttarakhand – indeed a rarest of the rare feat.

According to International Chess Federation admiring Tejas’s incredible achievement in FIDE Chess game : Meet Tejas Tiwari, the youngest FIDE-rated player! He is five years old and has a FIDE Standard rating of 1149!

The Indian chess player got interested in chess by watching family members playing when he was three and a half years old. He understood how the game is played very quickly.

At four, he started playing in district and state-level competitions, surprising people with his game. Soon, he was competing in national-level competitions outside the state.

Tejas played his first FIDE-rated rapid tournament at the age of four years and three months. Since then, he has played various FIDE-rated tournaments in 13 states of India.

He won first place in the U 8 category in his state tournament in 2022.

In 2022, Tejas also won the Under-5 category of the National School Championship, in the city of Bhubaneswar.

In the first Late Dhiraj Singh Raghuvanshi Open FIDE Rated Chess Tournament, held May 22 to 27, 2023, Tejas achieved his first FIDE rating of 1149.

Currently a kindergarten student Tejas Tiwari practices chess daily for 2 to 3 hours and wants to become a Grandmaster and one day, world champion. Congrats Tejas! May the sky be your limit!

Currently a student of Diksha International School in Haldwani Tejas is, five years old and his FIDE standard rating in 1149. The people of Uttarakhand and of course countrymen must be proud of him and his family who foresee a world chess champion in the making.
