Wangchuk alongwith colleagues marches to Delhi Jantar Mantar on 2 nd October
Sonam Wangchuk, along with his companions, is reaching Jantar Mantar, Delhi on 2 October, by walking from Ladakh to Delhi, demanding the inclusion of Ladakh in the 6th Schedule of the Constitution.
Similarly, Uttarakhand Ekta Manch is demanding tribal status for the community living in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand and inclusion of that area in the 5th Schedule of the Constitution. Both the demands are important for the development of the hilly areas and the security of the country.
The demand for inclusion of these hilly areas of Ladakh and Uttarakhand in the Sixth and Fifth Schedules of the Constitution is not only for the all-round development of the mountains and hills but is also necessary for the identity and security of the country.
Uttarakhand Ekta Manch will welcome Sonam Wangchuk and the people of Ladakh at Jantar Mantar on 2nd October to extend its full support and cooperation to this movement.
