Volunteers of MDUPS stage a sir in protest Dharna at Janakpuri and demand lodging of FIR for causing death due to utter negligence

Good number of volunteers of Mahanagar Delhi Uttarakhand Pravasi Sangathan led by its chief Kamal Dhyani and Mahavir Pharswan, Advocate today sat on a protest Dharna near Joginder Singh Marg at Janakpuri to register their strongest protest against the brutal death of a young boy working in HDFC Bank Rohini due to the utter negligence of the DJB senior officers and the contractors when a week ago his bike alongwith him plunged in a pit which was dug by Delhi Jal Board and was seven metres deep.
The police didn’t co-operate as was expected and the family had to run from one police station to other covering six police stations but the FIR wasn’t registered and the dead body found in the pit the next morning. The family in distress have been running from pillar to posts the whole night but faced non cooperative attitude of the police even being reprimanded at some police stations said the aggrieved brothers of the deceased.
The bereaved and traumatised family says that had they received the support in time their brother Kamal Dhyani could have been saved.
The protestors were demanding lodging of a case of alleged muder against the responsible officers, contractor of DJB, a government job to the next of the kin and Rs. One crore as financial compensation. The Delhi government has valued the cost of the twenty five years old young boy Kamal Dhyani as merely Rs. ten lakhs which they announced as financial compensation.
The protestors were raising slogans demanding due justice to the traumatised family and fulfillment of all the above demands forthwith failing which they will be compelled to protest further in a bigger way and compel the government to do the needful said infuriated Kamal Dhyani chief of MDUPS.
It may be recalled that such fatal accidents ( tragedies) have been happening every now and then but the DJB or MCD authorities hardly pay any heed and improve the situation. After the Noida tragedy where a soft ware engineer died in a deep drain, in Delhi Janakpuri, Kamal Dhyani and one more young man died in Rohini sector 32 by falling in a pit.
There were hundreds of policemen to ensure that the law and order situation remains under control at the protest site.
