Video showing commencement of ARTI at Yamuna Ghat after BJP coming to power in Delhi is fake confirms Hindustan Live fact check

The power of social media had indeed impacted the countrymen. These days a video about holding of pious “ARTI” at Yamuna Ghat commencing after the BJP gained power in Delhi is going viral in social media expeditiously. Such “Artis” are held every evening at Ganga Ghats in Rishikesh and Varanasi etc and even prime minister Narendra Modi with foreign dignitaries has participated during these “Artis” highlighted tremendously in social media.

During this election the outgoing AAP leader Arvind Kejrival and the Delhi government were questioned on several occasions about the dirty and badly polluted Yamuna for whose cleaning , the former Delhi CM had in the past assured the Delhi electorates of cleaning it but failed every time to do so.

However, according to the government statistics till now during the Kejrival era a fund of staggering Rs 6,856.91 crores were spent to reduce water pollution and cleaning of the Yamuna between 2017 -18 and 2021-22.

Not only this but during the Congress regime of protracted 15 years when Sheila Dikshit was the Delhi CM , the Yamuna which caters to the drinking water needs of more than seventy percent population of Delhi couldn’t be cleaned despite spending a vast sum of Rs.3900 by the then Sheila Dikshit government of Delhi .

This charge was rapped by the then BJP leader and Gujarat CM, now PM Narendra Modi in 2013 while campaigning in Dwarka.

This time too in Delhi the issue of Yamuna cleansing was the major issue with Arvind Kejrival not able to fulfill his pre election promises made in 2013, 2015, 2022 and now in 2025, thus paying a heavy price by losing Delhi at the hands of BJP that made a confident come back after protracted 27 years.

The viral video of Arti at Yamuna being shown in social media has been fact checked and found to be absolutely fake as this picture n video was of 2015 when the then CM Delhi Arvind Kejriwal had performed this Arti at Yamuna banks along with his cabinet ministers.

Then the pandits of Kashi were called to perform this aarti at Yamuna Geeta Ghat .Then the banks were duly cleaned and lights arranged to give a bright look.

However, the BJP had during and after its victory getting 48 seats has pledged to clean the river Yamuna within three years on the lines of Sabarmati River Front. They have promised to clean the Yamuna and construct the Yamuna river Front.

During the “fact live test by “Hindustan live”, apart from the earlier incident it also found that during 2024 near Kashmiri Gate, a Vasudeva Ghat was constructed by the Delhi Development authority and an Aarti was performed by the present LG Vinay Saxena.

This means that once during KEJRIWAL’S tenure and then by the Delhi LG two “Artis” were performed on different occasions at the banks of badly Polluted Yamuna. Therefore the present statement and news that after BJP attaining power in Delhi the Arti was performed at Yamuna Ghat is absolutely a fake news revealed Hindustan live.
