Veteran UKD leader and other office bearers meet DIG law and order Dhirendra Gunjyal and hand him the memorandum demanding immediate release of UKD leaders Negi duo

The veteran leader of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, one of its founder members, former cabinet minister in Uttarakhand government, and now UKD’s patron vociferous leader also known as field marshal earlier Diwakar Bhatt today met the Deputy Inspector General of Police – law and order of Uttarakhand Dhirendra Gunjyal and presented him the memorandum. Diwakar Bhatt alongwith other office bearers of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal urged the DIG to withdraw the false and fabricated cases lodged against its two leaders Ashutosh Negi and Ashish Negi taking strong exception to the fact that how the police has dared to arrest them on serious charges like Extortion etc and branded them as history sheeters knowing very well that they are the UKD’s responsible central office bearers with decent educated background with Ashutosh being a journalist , advocate and activist. He asked how can the UKD activists be branded as History Sheeters who are not only innocent but law abiding citizens of the state. They demanded immediate withdrawal of false and fabricated cases against the UKD leaders and ensure their early release failing which the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal will resort to democratic action through out the state and the responsibility will be solely of the government and the police administration. Prior to meeting the DIG Diwakar Bhatt addressed the people and the media saying that did we fought so relentlessly and our bravehearts gave their precious lives to see Uttarakhand in turmoil as it is today sending evryone behind bars who dare to oppose this government. Diwakar said their entire life has been dedicated for separate state and 43 people laid down their invaluable lives for getting the separate state but unfortunately today Uttarakhand is in the midst of acute courruption, the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal’s activists are being jailed, the villages being emptied and the people of the hills literally reeling under acute poverty. He appealed to the government that all the fabricated cases lodged against UKD leaders Ashutosh Negi and Ashish Negi on frivolous grounds be withdrawn immediately and release them out of jail failing which the state will witness a widespread movement in entire Uttarakhand in the days to come – the responsibility for which will be solely of the government said Diwakar Bhatt. After being in hospital and bedridden for the last 6 months, today the Field Marshal of Uttarakhand State Movement septuagenarian Diwakar Bhatt has again come into the field seeing the depressing situation of Uttarakhand. His same aggressive attitude still shakes the people of Uttarakhand.
