Veteran popular actor having worked with Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini etc Ramesh Deo passes away at 93

A popular actor of the seventies n eighties Ramesh Deo, who had worked with prominent super stars Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Dharmendra, Hema Malini and several other actors in about 285 Hindi movies and 180 Marathi films having started his film career from Marathi cinema had died today in a Mumbai hospital at the age of 93.

Having workers as villain in many films and as supporting star cast as well Ramesh Deo was fully devoted and dedicated in Marathi and hindi films having also directed n produced feature films, television serials and about two hundred and fifty advertisement films.

Born on 30 th January 1929, a popular Bollywood silver screen face and a talented actor who played as Rajesh Khanna’s doctor friend in super duper hit Anand with Amitabh Bachchan as well Ramesh Deo breathed his last on 2 nd February in the Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital after cardiac arrest.

Leaving behind his two sons Abhinav Deo and elder son Ajinkya Deo, he also had two grand children.

He was active in his film career from 1955 onwards never to look back again, having commenced acting from Marathi films.

His elder son Ajinkya is an actor in hindi as well as Marathi films and a well known face. His younger brother Abhinay Deo is the director of two movies Delhi Belly and Force.

His wife Seema Deo is also an actor. Unfortunately for the last two years she is bedridden and suffering from Alzheimer not recognising anyone, having lost her memory.

Ramesh Deo started his career in Hindi films after acting as an villain in film Arti, never to look back again.

His passing away has left a deep void in Mumbai film industry difficult to be filled with Bollywood fraternity in shock.
