Death came and went. An uncontrolled vehicle fell into the river but the driver somehow got out and climbed onto the roof of the vehicle.
The overflowing river had a strong current so they sat on the roof for hours waiting for passersby to help.
As soon as they got the information, the local people came and rescued the driver with the help of a rope.
The incident took place on the Niwari-Sitadi motorway in Mori area of Uttarkashi district, where a vehicle went out of control and fell straight into the Rupin river. Only the driver was present in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Meanwhile, everyone is informed that people going to Uttarakhand should be careful due to massive rains these days inview of massive landslides, cloudburst incidents , overflooding of rivers and collateral loss of human lives. On the road from Gumkhal to Jayharikhal trees have blocked the roads and the traffic is badly affected. The road for the time being has been closed due to falling of a tree.
