The dedicated team of Uttarayini, a social organisation of senior gazatted officers of central and state governments of Uttarakhand origin working and retired had visited the ecological disaster prone Tapovan and adjoining villages in Chamoli district and rendered all possible help to the victims and the disaster affected families the other day.
The team of Uttarayani consisted of Mr. J P Bahukhandi, Mr S P Pokhriyal, Col D S Barthwal n Mr O P Joshi.
The team members of Uttarayini visited the affected areas and distributed cheques to extend financial support to the members of the calamity affected families thus lending a hand of support at the time of this critical juncture.
The team of Uttarayani also visited the Jagdamba Vatika, founded by Mr Chandramohan Bahuguna, ex President, Uttarayani n ex DIG, CRPF, n now being maintained under the able leadership of VC, Garhwal University, Srinagar, Dr Anupama Nautiyal. The Uttarayani Team appreciated the personal interest taken by her in maintaining this ecological contribution donated by Sh Bahuguna, ex President, Uttarayani, to Garhwal University, Srinagar, Garhwal. It may be noted that this Garden is having a lot of flowers n grown up trees, attracting a lot of interest in Children, students n people interested in gardening. It has become a boom to researchers in gardening. This garden has won several awards and felicitations in flower competition’s and is an example of classical dedication of Shri Bahuguna. The team of Uttarayani saluted their ex President Shri Bahuguna for his ecological contribution n wished him Good luck for such selflessness healthy help to environment of the area.
A praiseworthy tremendous effort by a group of members of Uttarayani – an organisation well reputed for its dedication, honesty and hard work for the welfare of the people of Uttrakhand said Mr. Nandwani one of the protagonist of Uttarayini.
