A grand Uttarayini event was organised at Sector 3 Rohini by Uttarakhand Devbhoomi Sangathan sponsored by the Delhi Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari academy with vigour and vitality, today. Uttarayani festival is organised every year in different formats and name by various communities including Uttarakhandies. It is also called Makar Sakranti. This festival is celebrated a day after Lohri on 14 January every year since time immemorial. This festival primarily denotes communal harmony, amity, brotherhood wishing prosperity for everyone. In Delhi since the last five years after the formation of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari academy first in entire India, not even in Uttarakhand where the Congress and BJP have been ruling since achieving separate statehood on 9 th November 2000,the academy have been financing various registered NGOs of Uttarakhand in Delhi to organise Uttarayini every year in different localities of Delhi enabling the organisers organise cultural programmes on this occasion. The budget this year has been reduced to Rs 25000 which was earlier Rs. 1 lakh for a, single social organisation. Today Uttarayini event was inaugurated by the lightening of lamps by the chief and special guests viz. Khem Singh Bisht, Sunil Negi, journalist, Dr. Maya Ram Uniyal, Mr. Binjola, Mr. Dinesh Chemwal , Mr. Lohani and Narayan Dutt Lakhera. The ACP of Rohini and the councillor Dharmveer Sharma were felicitated with bouquets, a Lord Ram statue and a shawl. Several children and artists, performed cultural items on this ocassion.
The Uttarakhand’s, authors and literary personalities of Uttarakhand in Delhi Puran Chand Kandpal, Ramesh Ghildiyal and president of Uttarakhand journalists Forum also spoke in this ocassion and were felicitated. Uttarayani is organised every year when the Sun shines on the Eastern side ( UTTARAYAN) entering the MAKAR RASHI.
दिल्ली गढ़वाली, कुमाऊंनी और जौनसारी अकादमी द्वारा प्रायोजित उत्तराखंड देवभूमि संगठन द्वारा आज सेक्टर 3 रोहिणी में एक भव्य उत्तरायिनी कार्यक्रम का आयोजन जोश और उत्साह के साथ किया गया। उत्तरायणी उत्सव हर वर्ष उत्तराखंडियों सहित विभिन्न समुदायों द्वारा विभिन्न स्वरूपों और नामों में आयोजित किया जाता है। इसे मकर सक्रांति भी कहा जाता है. यह त्यौहार प्राचीन काल से हर साल लोहड़ी के एक दिन बाद 14 जनवरी को मनाया जाता है। यह त्यौहार मुख्य रूप से सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव, सौहार्द, भाईचारे को दर्शाता है और सभी के लिए समृद्धि की कामना करता है। पूरे भारत में पहली बार गढ़वाली, कुमाऊंनी और जौनसारी अकादमी के गठन के बाद पिछले पांच वर्षों से दिल्ली में, यहां तक कि उत्तराखंड में भी नहीं, जहां 9 नवंबर 2000 को अलग राज्य का दर्जा प्राप्त करने के बाद से कांग्रेस और भाजपा शासन कर रहे हैं, अकादमी विभिन्न वित्तपोषण कर रही है दिल्ली में उत्तराखंड के पंजीकृत गैर सरकारी संगठन हर साल दिल्ली के विभिन्न इलाकों में उत्तरायिनी का आयोजन करते हैं, जिससे आयोजक इस अवसर पर सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित कर सकें। इस साल बजट घटाकर 25000 रुपये कर दिया गया है जो पहले एकल सामाजिक संगठन के लिए 1 लाख रु था I
आज उत्तरायिनी कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन मुख्य एवं विशिष्ट अतिथियों द्वारा दीप प्रज्वलित कर किया गया। खेम सिंह बिष्ट, सुनील नेगी, पत्रकार, डॉ. माया राम उनियाल, श्री बिंजोला, श्री दिनेश चेमवाल, श्री लोहानी और नारायण दत्त लखेड़ा। रोहिणी के एसीपी और पार्षद धर्म वीर शर्मा को गुलदस्ता, भगवान राम की मूर्ति और शॉल देकर सम्मानित किया गया। इस अवसर पर कई बच्चों और कलाकारों ने सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियां दीं। इस अवसर पर दिल्ली में उत्तराखंड के लेखकों और साहित्यकारों पूरन चंद कांडपाल, रमेश घिल्डियाल और उत्तराखंड पत्रकार मंच के अध्यक्ष ने भी अपने विचार रखे और उन्हें सम्मानित किया गया। उत्तरायणी का आयोजन हर साल तब किया जाता है जब सूर्य मकर राशि में प्रवेश करते हुए पूर्वी दिशा (उत्तरायण) पर चमकता है।
