Uttarakhand Samata Party chief Dr. Bahuguna writes a strong worded letter to Uttarakhand CM demanding immediate arrest of the main culprit in the murder of Anjel Chakma who had fled to Nepal

The Uttarakhand Samanta Party of Uttarakhand has sent a letter to Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami demanding immediate arrest of the main culprit and mastermind in the brutal murder of Anjel Chakma student from Tripura pursuing his MBA from Dehradun after hurling racial slur on him. This dastardly attack by five drunken hooligans after hurling a racial slur stabbing him repeatedly resulting in his tragic death after 18 days has send shock waves not only in entire Uttarakhand but at the pan India level. In a strong worded letter to the Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami , Dr. V.K.Bahuguna , a former IFS and former DG environment and Principal secretary Tripura Dr. V.K.Bahuguna has said that he is anguished to learn that the name and reputation of our Dev Bhoomi have been spoiled by the drunken elements who killed Anjel Chakma diabolically after hurling racial slur on him. . On behalf of the peace loving people of Uttarakhand I request you to please take action for the early arrest of the main culprit who had allegedly fled to Nepal. These types of attacks are increasing in peaceful city of Dehradun where thousands of students from North-Eastern and other states are styding.It is reflection of deteriorating law and order situation in the state as police as well as college authorities have failed to check the hoodlums roaming freely in their hostels and then in the streets and who create such situations after getting drunk and vomit racial slur on our own citizens, These criminal elements must be given fast track justice and ensure that such incidents do not happen in future emphasised Dr. Bahuguna in his letter addressed to the chief minister of Uttarakhand. He concluded his letter urging the chief minister to please award compensation to the victim’s family and ensure adequate security to students especially in the nights to students from Tripura and other north eastern states.
